Mi libreta de viaje!!! Y conociéndonos mejor!

Hola.

Me encantó tanto hacerlo. Love it.

Moments Like These...

Hello friends and welcome to my blog.  Friday is my favorite day... I guess it is the same from lots of people around the world who work all week and long for the weekend all the time.
Today I am sharing a card .  It is a very simple card, yet it came out really beautiful with every detail.

I used spellbinders to cut a scalloped square, which I distressed.  Then I painted with spray over it and stamped a beautiful sentiment that says "Life is about Moments like these".  Then I separately stamped an image of a bottle and glass of wine and shape cut to include with a patterned paper simulating wood.

I love the message from this card.  There are lots of moments we don't pay attention to and life is full of them... full of little daily miracles that make our life the way it is.  Take time to remember and appreciate the moments... all moments...

Hope you like my card.  I am linking and sharing this with several challenges... as follows:

Un Reto con Bicicletas!

Hola.  Feliz domingo.

Hello.  Happy Sunday.  And Happy Father's Day to all fathers in your lives.  Today's also special because it is my goddaughter's birthday.  She's a sweet loving 10 year old girl.  Happy birthday to her!

Today I am sharing this card I made using Cosmic Colours Challenge #14 inspiration, and the Latina Crafter Sketch Challenge #48.

Estampé la bicicleta y corté la silueta.  La palabra "Felicidades" la estampé en vellum.
I stamped the bicycle and cut the silhouette.  The word "Congratulations" was stamped in vellum.

Moreover, I stamped the banners with hearts and placed at the top, alternating dimensional adhesives.

I hear Wedding Bells!!!

Today's a good day!  Let's face it!  Attitude is everything!
But really... today's a big day.  A friend of mine is getting married!!!

This is a great girl who used to work with me a while ago.  She is kind, intelligent, very organized and she's definitely a leader.  She also has a great relationship with God.  We've been in contact and have seen each other in some special ocassions during these years.

She's always told me I was very important in her professional formation and that she learned a lot from me.  I'm so happy to hear these things and so very happy for her and this new phase in her life.  I feel also very honored that I am part of her life and that I will attend her wedding today.

I made this card for her and her husband to be.  I wanted it to be simple, romantic, delicate and special.  I used a cream base which is also the color code for the wedding.  Then I stamped and embossed the hearts with different inks and embossing powders to combine some red, silver and blue tones.  Then stamped a sentiment which is more of an advice... sprayed some beautiful blue, and added some sequins.

Loved the final result of this CAS card and the color combination.  Will use a red envelope for it.

My friend told me she was wearing red shoes and that she was wearing someting with this blue stone, so I stamped this inside the card.  Isn't it cute?

Masculine Card

Hello my friends.  It is already the mid of the week.  This week is full of work, but I am looking forward to some things.  Thursday I am hoping to get good news from my mom's doc about her surgery recovery. Friday is a short work day since we are working hours ahead from Mon to Thurs so we can enjoy a Summer Fridays. Then on Saturday I am going to a friend's wedding.  Finally Sunday is Father's Day.

I am sharing this masculine Birthday Card made for two challenges.

I used a blue cardstock base and placed Kraft over it. Used a patterned paper strip in the middle and aligned two sentiments in two opposite corners with the mustache in the center.  CAS assembly and easy to replicate.

The two challenges I am entering this card are:

Loves Rubberstamps #156 Masculine

Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog #148 CAS

I hope you like my card. And thank you for your visit and comments.

Another Birthday Card

Hello there!

Remember I told you about making a second card for my mom as a plan B.  I decided to give her the other one (HERE), but wanted to show you this one anyways.

I used the same color inspiration from current Unity Be Inspired Challenge.  Love these bright colors with some subtle tones.

I combined strips fo different pattern papers and aligned to create a bright design.  Hope you liked the final result.

Thank you for stopping by and for your comments.

Bright Colors and Dots!

How's your Sunday going?  Mine is almost over.  Had done a lot of things this weekend...  I was my mom's 75th. birthday last Friday, so we took her to a late lunch/dinner and had a good time.
Then, yesterday, we went "shopping" for color code clothes we'll be wearing next week for a friend's wedding.  I had this feeling to see her before the wedding for a get together, but it hadn't been possible. After we finished shopping we met her as a coincidence and ended up having some coffee and sharing for a while.  God's good.  Then we had another get together with friends at night.  Today, we needed to do some more diligences so we were out all day.  I'm finally home and ready to relax to get ready for another work week tomorrow.

Here's the card I made for my mom.  I actually made another one as a Plan B... and will share it with you within the next days.  But this is the one I oficially gave to her.

I used the Unity Be Inspired Challenge colors as inspiration for the card.  The girl in the image is part of a stamp from Unity Stamp Co.  I cut it to have just her sillohuette.  Notice she has a heart in her hands.  I loved this because my mom recently had a heart surgery so I think this 75th birthday is a double blessing.   I added glossy accent to that heart and it shines.  Then the flowery background behind the girl is another stamp.  I used a Spanish sentiment from Latina Crafter.  The translation goes:  This is your moment to shine! I made sure to include dots somewhere because whe likes them.

Here's the card with chipboard numbers added.   Inside the card it goes "You are strong; Happy Birthday".

Thanks for stopping by and thank you for your comments.  Love to read them.  Have a great week.

Relaxing Friday!

 Happy Friday my friends.

It's been quite a week!  Today's my mom's 75th birthday.  She's been recovering from surgery the last two or three months so this birthday is quite a happy feeling.   I guess we can all finally relax a little knowing she's getting better and better and that 75 is a great number.

Today I'm sharing a CAS card I made with the theme of Summer and Coffee.  If you have visited me during the last few days, you know what I'm talking about.  It's about a Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop challenge that I have entered with two cards and this is a third (and last).  The theme called my attention and for this card I used a combination of two stamps.  One is this gorgeous cup of hot beverage that can be cocoa, tea or coffee (that's for your imagination to decide... it can even be soup, right?), and the word "Relax".

I sprayed some gold color to resemble the sunshine and give a Summerish look and feeling.  Do you feel it?

I am also sharing this as a third entry this week for Friday's Friends with Flair from Unity Stamp Co.  Leave a comment for a chance to win with Unity.  Good stuff!

Now you can relax, and have a wonderful weekend...

Enviando Sol y Café...

Hola a todos...  Saludos!!!

(Since I am using Latina Crafter products I post in Spanish.  Use the translator at left if you'd like or send me an email if you want to know what I wrote... :))

Raro, no?

Summer, Coffee, Color Inspiration... and more!!!

Hey there my friends.

I've been determined to participate in some challenges and blog contests this week... and I haven't done that bad.  Working all day with a little extra time, starting back to a little exercising, trying to get some things done around the house and mom's, plus wanting to make some projects for these challenges.  So you'll see I'll post at least a card per day within the next days...

In this post I'm sharing a card I made for several challenges.

First, I have to tell you that the moment I saw this challenge it called my attention because of two things.  One is that the huge amount of sponsors supporting it, and the other one is the theme.  It is a Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop (or tea, or cocoa) challenge.  Summer & Coffee, huh?   So I combined this theme, with beautiful color combo I had in mind from Cosmic Colours Challenge #14... very appropriate for Summer.  Finally, I used inspiration for the card sketch of the current Unity Be Inspired challenge and will also share in next Friday's Friends with Flair, also at Unity Stamp Co.

So this is what I came up with.

I combined different colors of cardstock and inked the edges.  I also applied some distress inks with water to a piece of vellum for a unique background.  Stamps are from different grab bags and a Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co.  I really liked the result.  Didn't ever think of combining a hot beverage with Summer.  LOL!

Hope you liked my card.  Would love to see some comments around here.  And remember you can follow me in facebook... I want more friends in my page... trying to get at least 10 new ones.  You can visit me HERE.
And stay tuned for another card I made using Latina Crafter products and will be posted soon.  :)

Here's some information and references about the challenges I'm entering this card:

The Unity Be Inspired Challenge (I chose to use the sketch for this one)

Beach Ball

Hello friends!

I made this card for the current challenge at Curtain Call Challenge Blog.  Today's the last day, so contrary to my usual scheduled or on time posts, I am posting from my phone to make sure I enter on time.

The challenge inspiration photo shows beach balls.

So I immediately thought of several stamps and ideas, and decided to use this one from Unity Stamp Co.  She's sexy and beautiful ... I mean the girl, but also the beach ball she's grabbing LOL!

I masked her twice and separately colored the main one and cut to place it in the center for main focus.  I used a sentiment from a Kit of the Month and added some Washi tape at the bottom.

Hope you like it.  I am also entering this post to next Friday's Friends with Flair at Unity.

Music Star card!

Hey friends...

Made this card a few days ago and wanted to share it with you.

A co-worker's husband turned 60.  He loves music, plays in a band, and his wife asked me for a masculine and simple card to show music theme and the number 60.  For this one I combined a lot of different brands and kind of materials.  Check it out.

I went to a kraft background over blue cardstock mat.  Stamped wood texture and stars (Unity Stamp Co stamps), and combined rub-ons and stickers related to music (DCWV) with the number 60 (Autumn Leaves stamps) and the "happy birthday" phrase (Crafty Secrets stamps).  Also added a wood veneer which I don't really know its brand... sorry!

She told me the husband loved the card and felt it was just made for him.  That's the idea!

Hoped you liked my card.  If you did, leave me a comment.  Have a great week.

Bloom!

It seems that Spring just lasted two weeks... Oh God... I live in a tropical island and I think we are feeling Summer since late April.  It's not fair...   It's not that we feel the seasons change a lot around here, but you know... a little bit of fresh air wouldn't damage anybody.

And I have this card I made a while ago and haven't shared yet.  It can be Springish or Summerish... LOL!

I painted the background using Prima Color Blooms and added some wire for texture and dimension.

Here's a closer look.  Tell me if you liked it.
