More for the Curtain Challenge

I kept thinking about the current Curtain Call Challenge because I loved the color combination. Then I thought of making another card using the colors even though not exactly following the theme on tasty tropics.

I used some embossed white paper as base and stamped on it after a few strips of colors using watercolor pencils and water.  Yes.  I stamped on embossed paper on purpose and I usually do to end up with abstract or incomplete images with an imperfect touch. You know I love imperfection.

Then I sprayed more color in a corner an let the paint travel a little I the paper.

Love the delicate result of the image in this card combined with the rest of embellishments.   Love it.

Look at the challenge picture and link below for reference.  Bye!!!
Have a great weekend.

Tasty Tropics challenge

Hey friends.

Current Curtain Call Inspiration challenge is about tasty tropics.   I live in the tropics and it is very hot right now. LOL.
For more info on the challenge click the following link:

I made a card using a pitcher image from Unity Stamp Co.  because it reminds me of cold drinks such as lemonade or sangria.

I sprayed color on a patterned paper simulating wood and stamped the sentiment on the corner.

I used straws, sequins and washi to embellish.   Pitcher was positioned with dimensional adhesive so the straws are "inside".

Honor you like it. I did like the final result. That is why I made another card with other colors. Just for fun. LOL.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great First Summer weekend.

El Amor siempre Ha de Ser...

Hola amig@s!!!!

A scrapbooker's dream

The dream of a scrapbooker come true is to have your work published in a magazine or important publication. We also love to teach, win goodies and design projects, papers and stamps.

I have had such great opportunities to have accomplished almost all of these in a low key level but it counts. LOL.

I have had my work published several times in different publications and this is the second time for me having my work in such prestigious magazine, Craft Stamper, from UK.

One of my cards was published in the July issue of this magazine. Awesome!  Thank you Craft Stampers friends!!!

Hope you like it. I loved the result and also loved a lot of people is seeing who Scrapper Myra is.

Thank you for stopping by.

Padre Espectacular!!!

Saludos.

Quick Birthday Card...

This quick little card was made with scraps and elements I had around.  Have you tried creating with the mess in your table?  Well... I 've been there and I've done that.  A lot.

The patterned paper with the chevron lines was left from another project and it even has paint in the back, but I like the idea of using it even though it has some of it you can see in this side.

The stick with the washi tape banner was from a past Latina Crafter birthday kit.

Then sequins that are always on my table...

The stamps are from Studio 112.

Nice birthday card.

Curtain Call - Sail On and Two more challenges

Hello.

This is my entry for current Curtain Call Challenge.  I will also share it with Unity Show and Tell Facebook group and with my great friends at Craft Stamper Magazine with the Make It Take It challenge.  This last mentioned challenge is about getting inky so this card is very appropriate. Link for the challenge here:
http://craftstamper.blogspot.com/2016/06/take-it-make-it-challenge-june.html?m=1

In a cardstock base I sprayed colors. I then stamped the image and cut three times for the beautiful ribbon like strips.

I assembled them and added the stamped heart image. Also added some sequins and the stamped sentiment.

I love the unique background so much that I even made a mini tag as a bonus fun project just for fun.
I sprayed some color in the tag and added a wood veneer and a stamped sentiment.

Hope you like these!

LCSC#60 - and - Take It Make It Challenge

Hello to tall my scrapbooking friends.
For Latina Crafter challenge #60 I've decided to make a tag.  I will also share this tag with my friends at Craft Stamper Maganzine in the current Take it Make it Challenge for June.

For the tag, I first used distress ink with a dauber.  Then with modeling paste mixed with Color Bloom spray and even a little bit of gelatos ink, I molded the words "café" and "coffee" with a Latina Crafter stencil.

For the cup of coffee I also used the stencil, this time with distress ink and marking the edges with a gel marker.  I used more Color Bloom Spray, this time to finish with some details (blue over the background already inked, and gold over blue).  Some stars also help on the last touch.

In two weeks...

Father's Day is in two weeks. I've made some cards around that theme lately and I've been sharing with you hoping you  have liked them and somehow they have served for some inspiration for your projects too.

This one is very cool.  I used Latina Crafter sentiments stamps in Spanish to create the message...  "For me, you are the best father".

Stamped the message in an arrow and directed it to the one bigger father amongst all the male figure wood veneers in the card.

Note that the one chosen has also stamped the word "You" in Spanish...  also from Latina Crafter products.

Hope you liked it.  Let's keep in touch!

More for Fathers...

Here we go again!

Another Father's Day card using Unity Stamp Co stamps.

This time I used two different sentiments from two different kits and complemented it with hand cut ties from patterned paper.

Sometimes simple elements together make some magic and unique creations.  I like this card because I kept it simple but at the same time you won't find these ties anywhere else...LOL...

 The beauty of creating!

Hope you like it and don't forget to leave your comment and follow me on Instagram and Facebook.

Mini Canvas "For You"

I love making mini canvas.... They are soooo  versatile.  Yes..  I can paint with lots of media, I can glue things of all materials, I stamp or used stamped in paper images...  They can be for anybody, any occasion, all colors and themes...  They can have sentiments or nice inspirational messages, or they can only have images, flowers, and just anything!  And the good part is that I am just creating... from scratch... love that it is very very subjective...

I've made quite a number of canvases now but still wanna do more.  I have to go buy more...

This is the last mini canvas I had at home for creating.  I painted the base after gesso with  orange acrylic paint.  I stamped the Prima Marketing cameo image in paper/card stock and cut to shape and applied in the center.

Then I used a pearls, a frame, flowers, a leaf, metals and more to embellish.

I stamped the sentiment from Unity Stamp Co in paper, colored with watercolor pencils and cut for the final touch.

I hope you like the results as much as I do.
You can see more of my mini canvases by looking for  the hashtag  #minicanvasbyscrappermyra in the web.  I've tried to use it with all my posts about canvases so I'm pretty sure you'll see more of me either in facebook or instagram, find me as Scrapper Myra.

Thank YOU!

Happy Graduation!

And graduations are still happening around here.  Mostly from college and universities...  High School and lower have already happened ... mostly... So there's still reason to make another card and celebrate.

This graduation card is so cool.  I used stamps from Unity Stamp Co... the "nice hat" sentiment, the hats... and the "don't stop believing" sentiment are all stamps.

I used some embellishments and elements from "school" theme from Studio Calico, and some washi tapes from Scotch.

I kind of like the whole composition of colors and sentiments and all...  Congratulations to all graduating or having someone graduating...  Let's celebrate!
