Rain

Hello friends.

September has gone too fast. Don't you think?  I guess it has to be with busy minds.
I think it is good to have a lot of things to do, create, and keep busy. Still a little time to relax wouldn't be bad at all. I need vacations. LOL.

Anyway... I want to share with you that third mini project designed for the Refresh Woman Expo in which we participated last Sept 17. Remember?  I facilitated three classes with three different special projects that could be done in half an hour.  Thirty people per class. Yeah. It was a marathon.

Latina Crafter helped with some materials and Scotch sponsored with adhesives too. It was great.
I shared the other two projects in my blog and Facebook fan page already. Go back to previous posts and see. This third project is a stand with a "clip". You can use it for place cards, for a photo, a recipe card, business cards, or whatever you want to display or show.

I got inspired by a similar object I once bought for my mom and my mother in law which was made with a tile  but I made this with wood and paper.   You can see in this photo of the back how it is glued for support so it can stand well.

The beauty in the photo is my recently passed away baby, my dog. The message as well as the cloud and rain images, are stamps from Latina Crafter.

Black and White

Happy Saturday to you all. I am having a good one. Can't complain. I am strong and continuously proving myself I have faith and that I believe in the journey that is for me.

I am happy to share this card with you. I used multiple media for it because I will share with my friends at the Mixed Media Place.  They have a great challenge going on with a mood inspiration board that I show you at the end of this post.

The card has a sentiment in Spanish which means "May your faith be bigger than your fears". When I saw the inspiration board I thought about this stamp from Latina Crafter and also about the message I wanted to transmit. So it's prefect.

I used corrugated paper, flower, straw, doily, stamp, sequins, acrylic paint, mod podge, metals, cord, glitter and more.

Hope you like it. Thanks for your messages.

Navidad en septiembre

Feliz viernes.

Layout: Creada Para Brillar

Hello all.

I am so very happy that today I will share three little projects at Refresh Woman Expo in Puerto Rico Convention Center today.  This will be completely free, and I am donating my talent and time to share the projects. The activity will benefit Hogar Nueva Mujer.

Those like me who love this hobby of Scrapbooking and paper-crafting and don't do it as a business, understand how important and grateful is to share with others and also get relaxed while this happens.  I always say that if you get stressed while doing your hobby... Then it is not a hobby. LOL.

Unfortunately the time given for the classes is very limited so the projects to share are quite simple in techniques but still I hope they all get inspiration by creating and sharing with others.   Moreover, each participant will receive his/her own glue, decorative and mounting tapes, and a great precision scissors.  All courtesy of Scotch. We will also use stamps from Latina Crafter.

Anyways, let me share this layout I recently made.  I plan to take it to the activity as part of some elements to decor the place while I provide the classes, for everybody to know me and my style.

I used spray paint to start a background and I let the paint spots to run to the sides.   I used multiple ephemera to frame my photo and lots of embellishments including modeling paste spots and stamps.

Please take a time to look at the details and get inspired.   Hope you like it.

Here's a photo of the whole page.

Mixed Media Tag for the dreamers

Hello my friends.  Let me share with you a tag I made using mixed media elements.
I was inspired by current Mixed Media Place challenge:

And will also share with our friends at Craft Stamper Magazine to current challenge:

I started with a printed burlap tag and added a painted doily. Also used a stencil to apply modeling paste and painted with gelatos.

Stamped some clouds and painted them. Also added some glossy accents to them.  Painted fibers, a leaf and some metals...
All these framing the printed paper message, along with sequins, rhinestones and more...

I hope you like my tag. I will add a ribbon on top.  What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by.

Christmas Ornaments

Hello friends. It's been a while. I have been busy and also had a short Business trip I combined with some days  off to relax a bit.

I had made these and haven't shown yet. These are Christmas tree ornaments made with doilies and stamped images.

I used dimensional adhesives to place the layers of the colored stamped image and patterned papers and doilies.  I place a ribbon between the two doilies to hang the ornaments.

Hope you like them.

I will share these with Craft Stamper magazine Take it Make it challenge currently going on in September. Link:  http://craftstamper.blogspot.com/2016/09/take-it-make-it-challenge-september.html?m=1

Will also share with friends at Unity Stamp Co in the Facebook Unity Show and Tell page.
