Another Father's Day Card

Another Father's Day card... Yep!

This one was very CAS style and love all the layers of different papers and colors.

The mustache is a wood veneer but I applied some gesso and distress ink to give it some texture.  Can you see it?  Love it!

Stamp is from Unity Stamp Co.  Inside it reads "Happy Father's Day".

Like it?  Cool.  Have a great day!

Graduations....

Graduations are "IN"...LOL...  Lots of people graduating and celebrating the achievement.  Congratulations to all who are graduating, graduated or have someone graduating this year.  I think graduations are not only a ceremony but is a representation of the results of your effort, the end of a stage and the beginning of another.  I think noone should miss his/her graduation ceremony.  It's so cool the feeling of being there... and thinking "I did it!"

I made this graduation card using Inkadinkado and Studio G stamps.
The background was sponged with distress inks and the banner is from Me&MyBigIdeas brand.

Stars embellishments are from Studio Calico and twine from Hemptique.

Love the result.  It's festive, it's cool... it's inspiring...  Like the feeling when you are graduating.

Happy day my friends.

Vintage Father Card

Hello my friends!

Do you have a vintage papa?  Those who are full of knowledge and cool experiences and are always giving you advice?  Treasure him please.

I lost my father when I was 10 and there's always something to remember him everyday.  It can be a smell, a memory, a saying, or even a joke... but I always have him in my mind.  It's cool though, not a sad thing even though sometimes I asked myself what would it be like to have grown with him, you know.  So, if he was alive today, he would be a vintage dad.  And he certainly could relate to this card I made.

I used "watnots" from Glitz designs with this vintage image, and complemented with buttons and papers... and of course some stamping.  These stamps are both from Unity Stamp Co.

Tried to keep the color palette of black, gray, browns and earthy oldies LOL!

Father's Day is coming up.  Make sure to have cards for your loved fathers in the family.

And remember you can follow me in Facebook and Instagram too.  I need more followers.  :)  See you there.

Father's Day Card

Tired and unmotivated... Unispired. Have you felt that way?
Today I felt a bit like that. Just hanging on.

Tried to relax a little with some card making.
This is one of the cards I made. Actually the last one of four. I decided to show it first because I am surprised that it was quite simple making it but I like it. That's the beauty of this hobby I love.

I used DCWV burlap card base and added a stamped tag with some twine. I then frames the tag with some masculine elements and ... Done!

I embellished with metals and wood.  I don't think I will add anything else. Would you?

Jajajaja.

Todavía pueden participar del reto ustedes también. El link a continuación:

Birdhouses for inspiration quest

Hello. Just one of those days I had some time but little inspiration.  Trying to relax and relieve some stress is difficult for me lately.   A combination of a lot of work  with some local economy pressure and the recent loss of my dog, among some things happening in my life.
But I want to keep creating and finding inspiration.  So today I went for a CAS style card using stamps and sequins.  I used current Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge which is related to birdhouses (link here:  http://curtaincallchallenge.blogspot.com/2016/05/curtain-call-inspiration-challenge_15.html?m=1).

I think some will like this card and some will not. But this is what creativity is always about, isn't it?  love the simplicity of the design and that I could at least dedicate some little time to my hobby though.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

So sad to see you go...

It is so sad to admit my dog-son is not with us anymore. I really think he was an angel sent to teach us so many things. I know most people must think the same about their pets and specially dogs, but mine really was the best.

I colored this image thinking of him. Trying to capture his shape and color I made it in a very abstract way to be able to resemble him.

First Communion

Today's the first communion of my goddaughter. It's a great day! I am sure she's very excited about today since she knows how special this sacrament is and also because we are going to be able to get together afterwards.

I made this card using the Latina Crafter stamps. So cute!

I also used vellum and embossed paper from DCWV stacks, plus a doily, a Prima flower and more...  I wanted to make a delicate simple card as the occasion is itself.

Hope she likes it!  You too!

No Good Bye... See you later

So sad to see a friend coworker leave her job for 16 years to move to Texas.  However, I know this is part of life and she's just living a new stage she'll enjoy a lot. Plus this is not the end of our journey as friends ... This is more s beginning.

I made her a simple composition in a shadow box to show some love.

The vivid colors represent the happiness our friend always shared and inspired, but mostly using blue because it's her favorite.
The phrase "she laughs" is so true. She rally laughs out loud and always smile.

You will see bricks representing her strength, hearts for the love she gives and sequins to demean she will shine wherever she goes.

Finally, a clear dot representing her transparency and inviting her to always be true to herself, authentic and literally transparent.

Besides the materials mentioned, I used Prima Color Blooms sprays, gelatos, modeling paste, cork sheets and stamps.

Hope you like it. It was made with love.
