Moments like these

This is a card made thinking in a wedding occasion but it really can be applied to lot of others occasions because the sentiment is very broad.

I think life is about the little things, most of the valuable things aren't things but moments, happenings...

I think that the older one gets the more aware of this you become.  You understand how cool is to live, travel, have adventure, do the things you love and be with the people you love.

Life is about moments like these.

Tarjeta de Amor...

Holaaaaaa.

Scrapbook and Cards sketch

A Lauoyt made using Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine sketch challenge happening at its blog (reference at the end of post).
I used head photos of mom at her birthday.  She turned 76.  She is usually complaining a bit about almost everything but this day she was so happy celebrating her bday.  Love it when I see her like this and when I think of how blessed I am to have her.

Thank you for stopping by.

Mixed Media Tag

Hello.  Happy Sunday.

I was inspired by this fabulous mood board from Mixed Media Place blog.  It has so many elements to be inspired with. Colors, objects, words, emotions and more...
I want to also share this project with Take it and Make it Challenge from Craft Stamper magazine blog.

I chose to make a tag inspired by the ocean and the colors and the happiness emotions and good wishes.

I started with a clean tag to which I sprayed some color. I planed to have some blue in some areas and some pink in others to then later be able to emphasize some elements I had in mind.

So I used some modeling paste and glitter to add some texture to specific areas.

I stamped the lighthouse over pink background and stamped some seagulls nearby.  These I also covered with glossy accents and glitter.

At the bottom, where the sea is, besides the modeling paste I used some glitter and wink of Stella to create even more texture.
Sentiment was stamped in blue to stand out and I used some sequins and thread for finishing touches. I even added some white wink of Stella to the sequins to make them look frosted.

Here's another view of the whole tag.

Hope you like it.  I will be sharing a project with Mixed  Media place blog for the first time. And will also share with Take it and Make it from Craft Stamper magazine.

Links to both challenges are shared at the end of this post.

Thank you for stopping by!

Navidad en julio

Ya se sienten los aires navideños?   Bueno bueno...

Feliz Navidad.

My friend the magic horse

Hello my friends.

Current Curtain Challenge Inspiration blog's challenge is very cute.  See the inspiration image at the end of this post and a link to the challenge.
I saw this beautiful unicorn and the subtle colors and immediately loved the image.
I used this stamp from #UnityStampCo which features a horse. It's not an unicorn but it is a magical friend.

I used the colors of the challenge with inks, sprays and sequins. Love the final result.

This is the whole view of the card.  Wish you could see the #WinkOfStella sparkle in the horse!

A través de la distancia...

I will write this post in Spanish because is made with LATINA crafter stamps but will also share with Craft Stamper Take It and Make it challenge.  Check the link at the end of post.

Take it and Make it July 2016

Here's an entry to participate in current Craft Stamper blog's Take it and Make it challenge. It's an Anything Goes theme!

I used some stamps from Unity Stamp Co and colored with watercolor pencils. Also created some layers with cardstock and patterned paper and used dimensional adhesives to pop out this happy card.

I am sharing with my friends at Craft Stamper ... Who knows if I can be lucky enough to win some goodies. You will find a link to the challenge at the end of this post.  Thank you for stopping by.

C4C345 Crazy for Challenges

Hello.
I wanted to make a quick something just for fun 'cause don't have much time and decided to get inspired by current Crazy for Challenges game.  See sketch and link at the end of this post.

So I flipped the sketch and made a very quick card using Latina Crafter dies for the message Feliz Cumpleaños, and some other dies for the "oval" shaped background. The star by hand cut without any form ... Just having fun.

I ended up not using any stamps which is very rare LOL... But hope it qualifies for the challenge.

A self Reminder

Hello!!!

Having a relaxed Sunday today!  Don't want to think about going to work tomorrow LOL. Well well... Kind of a joke but at the same time it is true....  But unfortunately I have to go anyway.

We are going through tough times. Economy is making everything more difficult and the pressure... Oh the pressure. But the key is to live everyday and enjoy the little things.  Smile. Smile. Smile. Be positive.

So I made this layout about myself. As a reminder to be optimistic. As a reminder that I am not alone and that life is great.

Love the stamps chose to support my layout. And love that I used the name of the paper collection as part of the layout. Why throw it away if it has a sentiment on it, right?

This is the whole page. Hope you like it.

Cherry Bomb

Oh my friends. I am so happy to be posting something today.  Because it means I could actually make something. Yeih!!!  I've been dying to cut a paper or stamp on something this week. But after work everyday I tried to walk for exercising and its either one or the other because if both, then I will go to bed too late. Anyways, will have to figure out how to manage time more efficiently but for now I want to share a CAS card made inspired by current Curtain Call Challenge.  You can see the inspirational image and a link at the end of this post.

For the card, I stamped the ice cream cone image in kraft and also in white cardstock.  Cut the Kraft as base and colored an cut the ice cream and cherry part then glued on it.

After the paper piecing I used some white Wink of Stella.  Wish you could see the real glossy glittery effect but not sure about these pics.
The image was placed with dimensional adhesives onto the stamped frame.

Under the sentiment I just brushed some color from watercolor pencils using a water brush.

All stamps are from Unity Stamp Co.

Hope you like my stress reliever card. Hasta luego !!!

A wedding card ...

I am going to a wedding tomorrow.  It's a young wonderful couple that everyone is just waiting for them to get married.
She used to work with me in the same company and was always a great coworker and friend. Even when she left to NYC about five years ago, she's been in touch and we have been part of each other's lives.
Her husband to be is such a great guy. I always tell him he is my favorite Chinese guy. Sweet friendly and handsome young man for my beautiful special and intelligent friend.

I made this card using a sentiment from Unity Stamp Co.  and added wood embellishments, sequins, a doily and a flower.

Sentiment was stamped in a spellbinders shape cardstock and also used foilvellum from DCWV for the background.
