Let's Celebrate!

Hello friends. How's your weekend going?  Almost done I know!  Such is life.  Wish I could continue a couple of more days but you know... One has to work.  Hope you celebrated though... And that you had a good time.

To continue celebrating I made this birthday card that I plan to share in several blog challenges.

I started with a white base and sprayed some magical colors.

I separately stamped, colored and cut the image (Unity Stamp Co).  For that I used several medium, from watercolor pencils, to different markers...

Then a final touch with the sentiment and some sequins.

It's a magical celebration card. Love it. A lovely girl will receive it at her birthday.

I will share this with:  Curtain Call July Challenge (Celebrate), Addicted to Stamps and More (challenge #151 Anything Goes), Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog (challenge #158 Celebrations), and next Friday Unity Friends with Flair.

Hope you all like my card. Can't wait to read your comments.

Love will never fail you!

Hello Friday!  Hello Friday Friends!
Some might be off today in celebration of the 4th of July Holiday!  Lucky us!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, even if it's short or a little longer than usual.

I made a card the other day using a die (HERE), and I had the negative part of it so I decided to use it for another card.

I used it as a frame, creating a scalloped square in the center.  I sprayed paint on it and placed it with dimensional adhesives to create depth.

In the center I placed a canvas heart which I painted with some sprays and paint, making sure the center had some acrylic white paint for lighter background to stamp on it.  I stamped this sentiment that says "Love will never fail you".  I got it from a bunch of stamps Unity Stamp Co sent me recently.  I first stamped it with brown staz-on ink to make sure it stays in place, and reinforced it a little with markers.  Then I applied ink only to the part that says "will never fail you" and repeated the stamping.  It's like reinforcing the fact that love will never fail you.

I used some vellum flowers cut with a punch and embellished with MME dots.

I also used another sentiment from a KOTM that says "don't stop believing".  I stamped it in plain cream cardstock and hand cut in shape of banner, same thing I did with other pieces of paper as shown.

The project has an easel behind so it can stand up as a house decor or little frame in a desk.

Do you like it?

And, of course will share with today's Friends with Flair at Unity Stamp Co.
Leave a comment for a chance to win with Unity, since you can win if you enter with a project, or you can win if you comment in any of the other friends' blogs who entered the game.  It's very cool and you get a lot of inspiration visiting all these friends.

Moments Like These...

Hello friends and welcome to my blog.  Friday is my favorite day... I guess it is the same from lots of people around the world who work all week and long for the weekend all the time.
Today I am sharing a card .  It is a very simple card, yet it came out really beautiful with every detail.

I used spellbinders to cut a scalloped square, which I distressed.  Then I painted with spray over it and stamped a beautiful sentiment that says "Life is about Moments like these".  Then I separately stamped an image of a bottle and glass of wine and shape cut to include with a patterned paper simulating wood.

I love the message from this card.  There are lots of moments we don't pay attention to and life is full of them... full of little daily miracles that make our life the way it is.  Take time to remember and appreciate the moments... all moments...

Hope you like my card.  I am linking and sharing this with several challenges... as follows:

I hear Wedding Bells!!!

Today's a good day!  Let's face it!  Attitude is everything!
But really... today's a big day.  A friend of mine is getting married!!!

This is a great girl who used to work with me a while ago.  She is kind, intelligent, very organized and she's definitely a leader.  She also has a great relationship with God.  We've been in contact and have seen each other in some special ocassions during these years.

She's always told me I was very important in her professional formation and that she learned a lot from me.  I'm so happy to hear these things and so very happy for her and this new phase in her life.  I feel also very honored that I am part of her life and that I will attend her wedding today.

I made this card for her and her husband to be.  I wanted it to be simple, romantic, delicate and special.  I used a cream base which is also the color code for the wedding.  Then I stamped and embossed the hearts with different inks and embossing powders to combine some red, silver and blue tones.  Then stamped a sentiment which is more of an advice... sprayed some beautiful blue, and added some sequins.

Loved the final result of this CAS card and the color combination.  Will use a red envelope for it.

My friend told me she was wearing red shoes and that she was wearing someting with this blue stone, so I stamped this inside the card.  Isn't it cute?

Masculine Card

Hello my friends.  It is already the mid of the week.  This week is full of work, but I am looking forward to some things.  Thursday I am hoping to get good news from my mom's doc about her surgery recovery. Friday is a short work day since we are working hours ahead from Mon to Thurs so we can enjoy a Summer Fridays. Then on Saturday I am going to a friend's wedding.  Finally Sunday is Father's Day.

I am sharing this masculine Birthday Card made for two challenges.

I used a blue cardstock base and placed Kraft over it. Used a patterned paper strip in the middle and aligned two sentiments in two opposite corners with the mustache in the center.  CAS assembly and easy to replicate.

The two challenges I am entering this card are:

I hope you like my card. And thank you for your visit and comments.

A real challenge...

This has been a cool challenging challenge (if this is correctly said at all!).

I stopped what I was doing to make a card with current Cosmic Strawberry's color challenge (#13) 'cause I saw it last week and had it in mind.  Then I realized I have less than one day.

Then I had this other challenge in mind for the Incy Wincy Designs blog that it is called All or Nothing, referring to the use of lots of layers or no layers.

So I figured I could combine both.  I decided to go with no layers.  Oh God.  Difficult task!

Photos are not the best since it"s late and don't count on natural light but hang in there with me.

Well, I stamped and masked the image in the center, then sprayed paint, let dry and stamped the other images in blue. When I took out the mask the image in the center stood out since it was free of spray paint.  It look like it was glued on top but it is really all one layer.

This is quite difficult to me because I usually add dimension with layers. But I did it!   And I love the color combo.  It's not easy to keep almost monochromatic.

Anyway... I am also linking this to Challenge #146 at Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog.  They have an Anything Goes going on.

Have a great end of month.  Tks for your comments.
