Sharing some ATC love...

Hello My dear Friends...
I have really been very busy with other aspects in my life and unfortunately am missing my hobby so much.  I hope 2019 will be different and I could find again a good balance.

I have made some ATC's that I've shared in Instagram and Facebook but hadn't posted here.  Even though a blog is not so popular nowadays, I want to continue posting my creations here and somehow keep documenting this creative journey with you all.

Hope you like my latest creations and let's make a toast for a wonderful beginning of 2019!  Cheers!

And for those who would prefer to make the toast with some coffee... here's this cup of joy!

The important thing is that we keep united by the love we have for creativity...

… and let the wind guide us through this wonderful journey...

Thank you for stopping by...

"Joy" ATC - and... Merry Christmas!

Joy... is what I wish for all of you.

Happy Holidays!!!

Hope you are having a great Christmas Day.

I recently made my two monthly ATCs for a swap stamping group.  These two ATC's I make for 7 to 10 people are actually making me take some time for the hobby even when I don't have too much time... so it's good.  Plus, getting other people's creations help us share inspiration and art.

For this ATC I used distressed ink in different colors on the base and applied some water for blending.  I then stamped the image of the tree and heat embossed, then did the same with title.

I used some "Stickles" drops for a final touch.

There's is a lot of imperfection in the process of making several projects of same design.  But I really like that each one of the creations is unique.

Merry Xmas!

August ATCs - part 2

So... this is the second August ATC I made for my group.  I love wine... you know it... and I love wine stamps too.  will never have enough.  I think I should have wine related dies but that's something I still don't have.  My birthday is in October in case you want to send me a gift...LOL. just kidding... but I really like this ATC.

I made the background using distress ink and a dauber.

I separately stamped the sentiment in a patterned cardstock and embossed with silver powder and heat.  Also stamped the bottles in ivory cardstock and trim cut.

A pair of sequins helps with a finishing touch.

I will share these on the current challenge of Facebook Unity Show and Tell. :)

How do you drink your wine?  With a joyful heart!

August ATC's

Here's the first one of two ATC's I make every month for a SWAP group, using Unity Stamp Co stamps.

I love this one for which I used Prima Color Blooms sprays to create the background.  I also inked the edges with color box wine merlot shade.

I stamped the image and used black embossing powder and heat to stand it out.  Each little heart in the hands is a different color, since we should love one another no matter our differences in any area of our lives.

My friends should have received these already... and I started to receive mine too.  I will share with current Unity Show and Tell challenge about ATCs... :). Who knows?  Maybe I win some stamp candy... send me good vibes.  Have a great rest of the weekend.

July ATCs - Second Part

Hi.  Hope you are having a great weekend.  I want to share the second ATC I made for July swap with my mail friends.

For this one, I used a patterned paper as base.

The message to convey is about beauty.  We all are beautiful in a way, but it's also true we don't see ourselves as beautiful as others do.

So, it's no coincidence I stamped the sentiment in vellum because it's about transparency.  I'm being honest with this sentiment.

And also no coincidence I stamped the image in white and didn't apply any color.  Beauty is relative so I didn't want to apply any embelishment or color to "beautify" the image.

Hope you liked it.  Here's the snapshot with the two ATCs I made this month.  To see details on the first one, go to my previous post.

Thank you.

July ATCs

Every month I make two ATCs to share with a group.   The guidelines include to use Unity brand stamps and send over mail by the 20th of each month.  The group includes 10 people so I make 10 of each design, send out 9 sets and keep one.

Since it's already the 27th, I am able to share them so eveybody must have received them already.

For July designs I decided to make one alluding Christmas... Sort of a Christmas in July thing... LOL!

I used green cardstock as base, and stamped the image in the center.  I then sponged some distress ink on the edges and around the "star".   I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed to make it stand.  I also painted the silhouette of baby Jesus to make it darker and then applied some glossy accents.

I also added some "wood" as symbol of the manger.  This pieces of wood are from cedar bags one uses to absorb humidity. :)

I leave you with a hint of the other ATC I made... Will show you in my next post.

Thanks for stopping by.

Let's Get Together ATC

As a wine lover and scrapbooker I have many wine related stamps... most of them from Unity Stamp Co.  I made this mixed media ATC for my swap Unity group.

I cut the base and stamped the image.  Then masked it to protect from modeling paste being applied through stencils.   Removed the mask and applied watercolor over everything but the stamped image. I also added sequins.

I specially love the process of creating different imperfect textures... some because I probably over applied modeling paste and can be considered an error, but some were deliberately applied on some spots and then pressed with finger to create the sticky irregular texture.

The beauty of this kind of creation is that not one is the same as the other...  on purpose.  :). They are unique.

I hope you like them... Cheers!
