Cardinal Merry Christmas card

Hello my friends.  Here's another Christmas project to share with you.  For this card I used another project previously made as a tree ornament.  You can see it HERE.  I decided to take the ribbon out from original project and use it as an embellishment and central element of this card.

For the original embellishment I stamped an image and colored, and then used multiple layers of cardstock to create a nice dimension over double doilies.

Combined with ribbon, and patterned paper I assembled the final card... and I like it.

Merry Christmas.

Want to make some Cheese?

Today is a great day to relax, get some rest, think about your blessings and don't think about all the work that awaits you next week and all the things you have pending to do... Oh God... it's me.
Anyways, I wanted to make a simple layout today.  Didn't want to work with stamps and paint and inks and mixed media... just make a simple layout with papers, stickers, washi tapes and simple embellishments.  I wanted to work with photos today.

So I grabbed some old printed photos from a very large pack I have to make layouts... LOL... Will never do all of them... I realized I will have to put them in some traditional albums 'cause I'll never make so many layouts to use all the photos I print.

So I made a double page layout about a fun day three years ago... My DH and I went with our goddaughter, her father, and a couple of friends to visit a local cheese factory and make our own cheese...  It was so  much fun, and then we went to eat at a very nice place on a lake, and had fun together.  I enjoyed that day with my friends but specially enjoyed the time with this little girl.  She's so lovable and she gets excited about everything and enjoys life.  I love her personality. :)

I worked the pages so they belong together but can also work as single pages.

The left one shows only one photo of me and my goddaughter and says "Today is a good day".

The right page features multiple photos making a photo of my goddaughter the main focus.  Title says "To Make Cheese..."  (so it works as a continuation of left page title, but also alone is a phrase that works as a single title).

I used Amy TAngerine's papers from American Crafts, and letters from American Crafts as well, and from Basic Grey.  Some stickers are from Marbella by K, and the cool plaid chipboard cow is from Martha Stewart.  I also used sequins and washi tapes, doillies, and more.

I couldn't resist and I sprayed some color bloom from Prima Marketing in both pages just for my personal touch.  I tried I tried to make it simply with papers and photos, but I think I could make the challenge by using only that little touch of spray and without stamping at all.   That's amazing!  LOL.

This is how the pages look together.

Hope you liked them and got inspired.  Please leave me your comments if you wish, and don't forget you can follow me too on facebook and instagram as Scrapper Myra.

Birthdays

Do you have any birthday coming up?   There's always some birthday to celebrate.  It's good to have birthday cards available to be ready when you need them.  But those are the ones I don't usually have... it's true.

I made this card just because... thinking of using it later.

I applied several different inks to the stamp to have a colourful image/message in a tag shaped piece of cardstock.    With different circles I made a frame for the tag and made a colorful birthday card.

Great way to use scraps you have around...  don't you ever trash your scraps.  LOL

Have a great rest of the week... We are just getting closer to the weekend.  :)  Thanks for stopping by.

I will share this with current Take it Make it challenge at Craft Stamper magazine (Anything Goes). You can see it clicking this link:   http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/take-it-make-it-challenge-march.html?m=1

Mini Canvas by Scrapper Myra

Saludos.

More LOVE cards

Remember my LOVE card from yesterday?
Well I made other three following the same concept design.

I sprayed different combinations of color paint for background.

Hearts are hand cut in vellum... Different shapes and sizes... Crafty handy.
And they are also sprayed with colors.

Stamped sentiments and added sequins and cord. Love the modern artistic look they ended up with.

Here's the complete set.

Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by. You can also follow me in Facebook and Instagram.  Look for me as Scrapper Myra.

Bye.

Almost February

Almost February, and I'm already thinking of St. Valentine's Day.  I made a couple of  cards hand cutting hearts in vellum and spraying  some paint.

This is one of them. I stamped a sentiment and also used some cord and sequins to embellish.

Hope you liked it. I have some more to show you later. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.   And don't forget to celebrate love every day.

A card for a Strong Woman

Hello my beautiful friends.
Sharing today a card I made for a coworker friend who is unfortunately going through a tough time. We at the office are very positive she will win this fight and we are working on cheering her up and support her in any way possible.

The card is pink everywhere. After all this is about breast cancer and the color is recognized for this everywhere
I used a doily combined with patterned paper and Washi tape for background. And then stamped the image in white cardstock and embellished with baker's twine, more paper and sequins.

Hope you like it. And please pray for my friend and all fighting this disease.

Bye.

Halloween Layout

We usually have a Halloween contest at work every year.  Our department somehow has always been in the top 3.  But more than that, we really enjoy our costumes and love to celebrate this day in a very positive and good way.  This year we didn't have the contest, but we decided to work in our diguises anyway and the truth is that we had such a blast.
We decided to be super heroes.  So we had a Wonder Woman, a Batgirl, the 4 Ninja Turtles (Girly versions; I was one of them), Captain America, Superman, Spiderman and Batman.

I made a page about it. I included three photos... one of the whole group, one of the Ninja Turtles and a solo...LOL!

Love my page. Have a memory of this day and the good times I had with my friends and co-workers.  Hope you like it too.  Have a great week.

LCSC#53 - Una tarjeta de Navidad

Saludos querid@s amig@s latin@s.

Wedding Card

Today is a beautiful day! Hope your Saturday is full of joy.
I am sharing today a wedding invitation I recently designed for a friend coworker.  She will have a very close friends and family wedding today and she will sure be radiant.  She's a beautiful young woman with great future.

I embossed vellum to make a sleeve and embellished with gold jewels around it.

The base paper is gold and was bent in three parts to make the invitation.

Inside, white cardstock with embossed patterns in the sides, and the text in the center.

Very simple yet delicate and elegant. Hope you like it.

Have a great weekend!!

Hello Pumpkin!

It's October!  Love this month.  Even though in my beautiful Puerto Rico we have very warm weather all year, and we don't feel that much of a difference between seasons, I love Fall.  There's not any particular reason except for all the cool things associated to this month... like nice weather (in other places other than home), nice colors, trees, and Halloween... plus it's my birthday month.  I just had a birthday last Oct 7, yeah!

Anyway, loved the current Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge photo and made a project inspired by it.  Decided not to make a card, but something different.  I embellished this cutie little bag.

I used doilly, straws (American Crafts), sequins and cord.  The image stamp is from Studio 112.  Also added some glitter (AC) and Glossy Accents.

This one's ready for some treats.

Hope you like it as much as I do.  Here's the reference of the challenge... there's still time for you to join.  Click HERE.
