LCSC#41 - Un reto con Animalitos

Hola...
(This is a Spanish post.  For English, access from your desktop and use blog translator button at left)

Sketch It

Hello my friends...  Hope you are having a great weekend.
Let's go "latina"again...

(To read this in English or any other language, use the blog translator at left.)

LCOM 37

Happy Sunday my friends.

I continue making some progress for my friend's album I told you about HERE... the one for the First Communion of her son.

I thought I could accelerate with some help from challenges.  It's also a way to use the materials I have and at the same time put them to work to collaborate with other blogs.

So, I received an email with a post from Let's Capture Our Memories.  I always read them and love the great inspiration they provide.  They posted this fabulous sketch.  You can see details by clicking on it.

So, I decided to use it to show the First Communion certificate that will be part of the album... and this is what I came up with...

If you are trying to figure out how I got inspired by the sketch, turn it upside down... Now you see it!

Hope you like it and thank you LCOM for the inspiration and the opportunity to support you with my participation.... and the opp to win some candy too, of course... LOL...

:)

Best of Luck!

So... talking about sketches...  I usually don't use them much.

However, I've been using some lately for challenges and inspiration... and I've enjoyed doing it.

Here's one posted at DCWV Diary blog.  Isn't it nice?

So I wanted to make a card for a coworker student who worked with us for a while and her last day is tomorrow.  I know she loves purple (me too!),  so it reminds me of this oldie stack I have which is so versatile and has so many different combinations... including purple.

And I used the sketch... and I rotated it and this is what I came out with...

Here's a close up of some details.

I hope you liked it...

Thanks for leaving me some love!

A Card with a Sketch

 Hey there!

Mother's Day is coming and I haven't done any cards or thought about any gifts... OMG!  This is what I've said to myself all these days when arriving home from work!

So, today, I decided to at least cut some papers to feed the need for the hobby!!!

I'm not very used to sketches, but I saw this one from Scrapping Everyday Miracles and I thought I could use it for a card.  You can see the sketch I'm talking about HERE.

And this is the card...

I used patterned papers from DCWV and chipboard letters from EK Success.  I distressed the circle background and inked with Color Box ink.

The flowers are from Portafolia and the pearls from "e."brand.

The sentiment stamp is from a "Spanish Memories".

I think it's kind of cool I used the sketch for a card instead of a Layout.   You know I love to be imperfect!!!   I usually don't use sketches because I don't usually follow the rules (at least when talking about scrapbooking), but I've found great inspirations on them lately.

Let me share some other quick cards I also made tonight before I'm gone to bed...

This is the inside of the card:

Have a good night, day, and rest of the week.  Don't forget to leave me your comment.
