Journey - Travel Journal Page

Happy middle of the week my friends.

I have lots of little scrap of papers, stamped images, die cuts or pieces of paper with textures and more...  Those are leftovers from other projects that I think they will be usable at some point and I save them for a while.  After being in a table corner for some time, I trash them, but sometimes I use them in my random projects.

For example, I used these nice balloons I cut a while ago.  I cut them in these random colors with no particular project in mind because I was testing the die I was going to use for a local class.  The die wasn't mine and I didn't want to use in the papers of the class that the local store manager provided me because I wanted to make sure I used them well.   So I had these in my table with no purpose in life... LOL!

Remember I am making some pages for a travel journal?  So, I am using a SMAK book that already has some pretty pages just the way they are, and ready to receive my photos, journaling and memorabilia, but I have chosen some pages to just make some art from my own.

In this page, I first stamped the journaling circle stamp from Unity Stamp Co.  Then I painted circles with distress inks (similar to what I did with my merci tag but with different media... did you see it HERE?).  I applied the beautiful test balloons that otherwise were going to be trash, and also found this "journey" word I cut at some point in my life and did not use it either...

Here's the full page:

Don't throw away your scraps... they will serve you well.

I'm sharing this with our friends on Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge blog.  Challenge #157 is "Make your mark". You can see details HERE.

Also... leave a comment for a chance to win with Unity, because I plan to link this entry to the next Friday Friends with Flair, and you can get nice stamps such as this one in my page, which I earned in a past Friends with Flair linky.  :)

I am always using the scraps on my desk to make something, even if it is just edging on my next card. Nice work.
