Celebrate YOU card

Hello all!

I am sharing a card that is suitable for all celebration occasions... I guess. 

I was inspired by current Curtain Challenge mood picture. You can see he link and the picture at the end of this post. I will also share this card with my friends at Craft Stamper Magazine blog. For the card I used a white card base and added a layer on light blue patterned paper to which I stamped the sentiment (stamp from Unity Stamp Co), and later embossed for texture (embossing folder from Darice). 

The banner was made using vellum. I previously painted with different media and left dry for a while. I used Color Blooms from Prima, distress inks from Ranger and more. 

When dried I cut the desired shape and this made my unique pattern banner. 

I added tissue paper, and beautiful Pom poms from Glitz Designs. Finally several sequins. 

It feels great to end up with a unique design card. Hope you like it.

What about a TBT?

All colors are allowed by LOVE!

Made this card the other day and loved this Stamp I hadn't used before.  Had it for a while but was able to play until now. 

The image features all these hands with little hearts and such a cool sentiment which is more a call to action that we really need nowadays.  With all these changes in the world of politics, and how the economy is impacting so many people and so many countries, all is need to say is:  Love one another.  If we could only just make it happen!!!!  That would solve a lot of issues. 

For the card I used corrugated paper as base and half of a doily for layering. I stamped and colored the image and distressed the white card stock.  You won't believe I used a baby wipe (Chubs type) which had used to clean the color sprayed on the corrugated paper, and added color to the card stock. Love the effect. Also added lots of sequins ... small, large, heart shaped, and more.  A bow tie with bakers twine also added to my composition.

Quick cards...

This is such a quick way to make a card. Using patterned paper that has text on it an reinforce with an embellishment.  Get the most out of your paper and think outside the...paper. LOL!

Look at this CAS card. I just made the heart glittery beautiful. The text is part of the paper. 

What about this one to which I just added the bear?  Isn't it an awesome simple card?

We can made beautiful cards or projects using the paper as is.  After all great designers made these papers just for us.

Girl's best friend

Made this card for my stash. Love the sentiment about the diamonds and dogs analogy. So true. LOL!

I Stamped the girl and colored in white cardstock. Also stamped the sentiment and a jewel image to which I applied glitter. 

I distressed the upper edge by hand. 

As a unique final touch I applied sparkling glitter in the upper edge of the base using some glossy accents. And then I painted that remaining edge with watercolor. Some sequins also were added. 

I will share with Unity Show and Tell current challenge.

Feliz Cumpleaños

Una tarjeta para un compañero de trabajo a quien aprecio mucho.  Un joven muy talentoso, con excelente sentido del humor, respetuoso, responsable y muy bien amigo, hijo, esposo y más. 

Quise hacer una tarjeta sencilla que incluyera una de sus pasiones... la música. Así que con un "embossing folder" marqué letras musicales como si fuera un escrito de una canción.   Corté los bordes rasgándolos para distressing. 

En la base de la tarjeta estampé la frase Feliz Cumpleaños. También rocié tinta de color azul. Al colocar el vellum encima estos elementos se notan sutiles y suavizados y contratan con el estampado al frente en el vellum y el lazo con bakers twine. 

En el interior de la tarjeta usé un negativo de un símbolo de música en chipboard para pintar la imagen. Y estampé el mensaje que dice "solo una nota para desearte...".  Es doble mensaje ya que es una "nota" escrita pero también se refiere al tema musical. 

En el trabajo usaremos la tarjeta para que varios compañeros le escribamos un mensaje. Espero le guste. Es simplemente un detallito.

I love my bubbles!

A layout honoring the delicious sparkling wines. This photo shows me posing with a glass of cava at a party I attended recently. It has an effect of lights that actually look like the bubbles in the glass.  I thought it was a good idea to feature the love for the sparkling and refreshing delicious bubbles. 

I used CAS (clean and simple) style. With a white cardstock as base I hand cut a design paper to a shape to show two corners.  The paper shows colored circles to resemble the bubbles.  With some gesso I made a space for the photo to which I painted some damask with stencil. Same images painted in the right bottom corner of white cardstock. 

Title is a combination of chipboard letters and a die cut heart. 

Journaling is handwritten and cut in strips. I also cut some vellum circles to add some more similitude to the bubbles I want to honor. 

I finally added gold sequins ... same color of my bubbles.  Cheers!
