Mixed Media Mini Album Cover

I recently documented in a mini album, some memories from a little escape we had in Dallas.  I had a business travel and decided to go with hubby several days before and know a bit about the city and surroundings and also having the opportunity to see some friends who have moved to Texas. 

I used some self made pages combined with Simple Stories pages, photo sheets and dividers. The covers were made from scratch though and I used several media to create it. 

The surface were sprayed with color and then I created some texture and dimension with modeling paste and a stencil. 

I then created a thematic area of interest using a corrugated carton tag tied with a little rope. Also a painted burlap shape cut with spellbinders. I even used some symbols of the state of Texas such as the white star and the cowboy... and a boot. 

I decided to add a title and turned the u's into a's ... the way any scrapbooker would do it right? LOL. 

Hope you liked this cover.  I enjoyed making it. Just to have a little time to "create" it, is just amazing!

Christmas Card

I love to participate in challenges that would make me do different things. What about black and white Christmas?  You've heard  white.. but no black and white. 

I actually don't necessarily live white Christmas either. In Puerto Rico we have a pretty colorful Christmas if we refer to weather. However, being part of US we do believe in snowmen, and all the season symbols we all love. 

Unity Stamp Co proposed a black and white Christmas theme for current Facebook challenge so I went for it. The inspirational photo also shows some gray and silver shades so I decided to use some of that.

I stamped snowflakes onto vellum with embossing clear ink and used clear and silver powders.  I cut some flakes with circle cutter and others with scissors according to their shapes. 

Love my handmade unique snowflakes embellishments arranged with sequins to frame the sentiment stamped in textured embossed paper.

Special Card

A friend lost his father recently. It's so sad to know someone you care about lost a loved one.  You suffer when you see others suffering or think about how would be your feeling in the same situation. You are never prepared to lose someone. 

I made this card so a group of coworkers could write a message for him.  Had to be q a simple card with seriousness and also to reflect our solidarity in this sad situation. So I  used these Unity stamps and I am really glad with the result. 

I stamped the feather in vellum and cut by hand.  Stamped the sentiment over embossed paper and it came out fine.

Just Because card...

Here I am sharing a card with you. Initially thought for it to be for a sympathy message to a friend but changed my mind and ended up with just an inspirational message card. 

I used Unity Stamp Co stamps and played with tag shapes and spray paint. 

Also used some corrugated paper, twine, and sequins. 

Inside message is : God timing is perfect.

50 years wine card

Hello friends. 

I am sharing a card I made for a wine friend. 

We were invited to share a surprise get-together to celebrate his 50th birthday last night.  

He is a wine lover so I was very happy to use these awesome stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  And especially wanted to use this humor stamp again. It's not a phrase you can tell everybody. LOL. 

I added some "stains" using ink and stencils.  The main image was stamped and cut and then I added a black edge cutting it into cardstock.  I used the bottles stamp as a background and additional main element. 

With stickers I added his initials and the age number to personalize the card. And finally a strip of cork for another wine detail. 

Hope he liked it.  Gifts were given at the event and I guess he'll open them today.

LCSC#64 El Viejo Oeste

Hola a todos. 

El reto de Latina Crafter para este mes es inspirado en el Viejo Oeste. Me pareció una tremenda oportunidad para hacer una página con unas fotos que tenía de una visita al Billy Bob's Texas precisamente en el pueblo del Viejo Oeste, o los Stockyards en Fort Worh, Texas. 

Nos tomamos una foto simulando estar en un rodeo y compramos varias pequeñas con la idea de quedarme con estas dos para una página de scrapbooking. 

Así que sin pensarlo estoy participando en el reto de Latina Crafter. 

Espero les guste mi banner con doilies pintados, cartón corrugado, lentejuelas y mucho más. 

La chapa de botella convertida en embellishment al lado de las fotos es de una cerveza típica de Texas, llamada Lone Star.

Witch

What a beautiful day!

Today I am sharing with you a double mini canvas I made with the Autumn/Fall theme. I wanted it to be a composition of multiple pieces that went together so that's why I stamped the image and then cut in two pieces. 

The canvas was painted with distress stain. Then the stamped image was painted with gelatos and watercolor pencils. 

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in vellum and placed with cardstock in the back. 

Also added some sequins for the glamorous touch.  I think I will later add a thin layer of mod podge cause this is still wet ... look at my fingers after have taken the photo. LOL.
