Hello Paper Lover Friends...
I am sharing this layout I made scrap lifting another layout from
Paper Issues. They continuously have challenges going on so you can keep active on creating paper beauties. Facebook page

The idea of scrap lifting is making your own creation using there reference of a fabulous original one. For me, it works more or less like a sketch, but the difference is that you are already in a visualization phase because you are seeing colors, textures and embellishments already applied... vs when using a sketch, that you are just looking at a guidance on graphic positioning. Either way is fun. It's always amazing to create our own things and just come up with original ideas of our own, but the inspiration you can get from other people and their great work is also valid in this great process of creating.
I used a photo of our 20th wedding anniversary. It was a work day in and we were really tired. The plans we had for a special day and # of years like this were already cancelled in our minds... but we wanted to "mark" the day and we decided to go eat something out and just feel we were celebrating. After all, every moment together should be a celebration. And we had a drink commemorating our boyfriend-girlfriend time...
For the scrap lift I cut several and chose 8 circles from different patterned/design papers scraps. Never underestimate the power of being a hoarder and not throwing away any piece of papers that you think you might use in the future. Instead of sewing or drawing in the same circle, as the original layout, I opted to doodle in the outside of each circle.
I established the title with chipboard letters and completed with a handwritten touch. It says FELIZ (HAPPY in Spanish), and "Aniversario" (Anniversary in Spanish). I also framed the photo with several embellishments and notice that I distressed base paper on top and bottom and placed on another color cardstock to complete the touch of vibrant colors on white.
This is the fabulous original layout. Be inspired by both pages and make your own today.
