Another CAS card...

Hello my friends. I know I promised to stop by the other day to show you this other CAS card I made.  Sorry I couldn't make it sooner.
I really believe that things happen for a reason. I have been experiencing that a lot lately. Little and not so little happenings in my life have reinforced that belief.
But going to the point, I am glad I could not post earlier so I can show you the card today and link it to Friday Friends with Flair at Unity Stamp Co.

The card was real fun to make. This fabulous stamp makes it easy because it says it all.

I used patterned paper as base and embellished with baker's twine and a button.

The recipient was a male co worker.  So the colors were used thinking of that.

CAS mode is on!

Trying to find some inspiration, you can end up with a style that is not necessarily your most used.

I stamped this flower to see how it looked and ended up coloring it and making it pop in a CAS card.

I used dimensional adhesives to make it look like it is coming out of the card. Love it!

I made another quick CAS card last night but I will show it to you tomorrow.
Tks for stopping by and for leaving your comforting comments. Have a great rest of the week.

Dreamer...

And here we go again...  I dream of a world where we all can do more of what we love... Without pressure or deadlines.

But in the meantime, I have to work and make some time for the rest. LOL!!!

I have been soooo busy planning a class for the upcoming scrapbooking convention and it is really very difficult with so little free time.  But it is fun anyway!!!  In a month I will hopefully be very happy and relieved... And proud.  And as I always say, you must have fun in the process!!!

Anyway, it is Friday and that means Unity's Friday Friends with Flair. I made some time to play with these new stamps and made a quick card to share today.

Thank you all for stopping by and leave a comment for fun and for a chance to win good stuff.

Random Fun

Yes, totally random.  I am supposed to be working on some homework for the upcoming scrapbooking convention from the Papeles y Más magazine. But instead I saw these photos from the other day which were taken in a photo booth prior to a movie premier... And I just made a fun quick layout.

Base paper used is from Amy Tan and most elements and embellishments are from Simple Stories. Loved that I didn't have to add that much since these elements are already cool and fabulous.

Just some washi tape here and there and lots of stickers. Some flat and some with some added dimension.

A random layout about random fun that ended up in a random post.

Now, get to work Scrapper Myra!!

It is my anniversary!

Hello my dear friends!

I am very happy and celebrating 16 years of wedding anniversary.

We are very happy and very grateful for this gift God has given us... Our love and the blessing of being together enjoying life.

I made this CAS style card for my dear hubby.  Since we both enjoy wine so much I used this new wine stamps from Unity Stamp Co.

I know it is not the traditional anniversary card but I am sure he will love it.

I will link this post to the Friday Friends with Flair at Unity. Make sure to leave a comment for a chance to win.

Have a great weekend.

Let's Re-Wine!

I've been very busy these last weeks and believe it or not I have not dedicated too much time to this hobby. Most of the projects I've been posting were done a while ago and I had not shared.  In some cases projects were pending to be published and that is why I did not share before.

The thing is I don't think I will be able to do some scrapbooking next weekend either... Eeek!

Well, well... I'm sure I will find some time...

I still have this one card I have not shared with you.

I mainly used DCWV cardstock and Unity Stamp Co.'s stamps.

You know I love all wine stamps from Unity!  Awesome stuff!  I went with CAS design stamping without coloring and using simple elements arranged in a very easy to reproduce way.

After I took these pics, the card was changed for a birthday theme... but it kept the design I'm showing here.  A very good friend was the lucky recipient!!!  LOL.

I hope you like it as much as I do.

I'll be linking this up to the Unity Friends with Flair, so make sure to leave a comment for a chance to win... win... win...

Happy Friday!!!!

Layout "My Tree"

Hey there!

This layout was published in the "Papeles y Más" magazine from which I am DT member.  The page features my 2012 Christmas tree.

I used lots of the embellishments I love... doilies, glitter, buttons, baker's twine, bling bling, washi tapes and ink... among others.

For the title, I combined chipboard letters from AC with my handwriting.

I framed the top star with these jewels and doily, while extending the photo out of the traditional mat.

I really loved how balanced it turned out.  You cand find more about this (list of materials and instructions) in the magazine.  Or leave a comment in this post and/or email me letting me know any questions.

See you around.  Don't forget to be imperfect.

Three Washi Trees Card

Happy Three Kings' Day!!!!

Today we celebrate the three wise men that traveled to see our Savior!  God bless you all.

Just stopped by to show you this card I made for the "Papeles y Más" magazine.  It was published in the latest Christmas edition where the Design Team was presented.  I'm so proud.

The card shows three Xmas trees made out of Scotch washi tape.  I aligned washi tape in green cardstock and cut the shapes with machine as it was patterned paper.  I then embellished with glitter and ink.  Loved the result.  Hope you do too.

You can see this and lots of beautiful Christmas projects in the magazine.  Click on the link at the right side of this blog page for more information.   If you have any questions about this or any other Scrapper Myra's projects, email me.  :)

Tks for stopping by for your great comments.  :)

Age and glasses of wine!

First Friday of the year!  yeah!!!  I know it probably sounds repetitive 'cause a lot of people might be pointing it out, but it is cool anyway.  This is going to be a nice weekend.  I will be sharing some time with some nephews and nieces from my husband side.  It is going to be awesome!

Today is also Friends with Flair at Unity Stamp Co. so since I had this card I made for the Be Inspired Challenge, I decided to post it and link to both.  Love this stamp I recently got.  I made the card for a coworker/friend's bday which was last Monday.  This card made her smile.  :)

In the inspirational color photo I loved the textures so that is why I went with cork paper for the card.

I punched circles with matching colors and created an interesting background.

Also added baker's twine and 3D adhesives to create dimension.

The girl was colored with watercolor pencils.  Also used some glossy accents for the lips, rose and wine...  Knowing my friend, this would be a glass of a refreshing Albariño... LOL!

I hope you have a great weekend.  Leave a comment for a chance to win goodies from Unity Stamp Co. :)

Christmas is not over yet!

Hello everybody...

I don't know if you know about Puerto Rico's long Christmas' celebration.  You see, we still have one Holiday to celebrate which is called Three Kings' Day ...  It is going to be next Monday, the 6th.  Children will grab grass and put it in boxes for the 3 Wise Men's camels who will visit the houses the night before.   In the morning, the grass will no longer be in the boxes and instead they will get presents.   It is very similar to Santa Claus tradition but it is more cultural of our country and more tied to Jesus' story.   But this is not all...  After the 3KD, we will celebrate the "octavitas" which mean that we have 8 more days of "grace" to continue celebrating.  And then we'll celebrate the "San Sebastián Street" festival in mid January.  It is said that our Christmas lasts until then...

Bottom line... we are still celebrating.  So you will see lots of more Xmas projects in this blog for a while.  LOL!  Like this one.

This is a countdown calendar I made for my god daughter.  I used Karen Foster's and dressed it up with lots of patterned paper, washi tape, buttons. stickers, stamps, brads, corks, flowers, chipboard, ribbons, and eyelets...

Each drawer had messages and surprises for the girl to find out every day.

Tks for stopping by...  Let's keep the party going!!!

Washi Tape Little Tree

Ta dah!!!

Happy New Year!
Hope your 2014 is full of blessings!  :)

This is the other project made out with washi tape... The one that I submitted to the Scotch contest and was selected among the top 3 in its category.  I know!  I'm so excited.  It was revealed in the "Papeles y Más" magazine and it was so cool to find out.

Anyway...  It is a very special Christmas Ornament.  I loved making it.

I used foam as based for the tree look shape... covered with doillies and embellished with sequins, glitter buttons and of course washi tape.  I alligned washi tapes stripes in cardstock, draw spiral circles in the back and cut to then shaped as flowers.

The top star was also made with washi tape and supported with a similar shape chipboard.

This is the back so you can see more washi tape:

Hope you liked it. Wish me luck!  Winners will be announced in an upcoming Scrapbooking Convention to be held in Puerto Rico next February.  You can get more information HERE.
