Another happy Friday!

Hey you!  Happy Friday...  How was your Thanksgiving Day yesterday?  Hopefully awesome!  Thank God for life, for friendship, for everything you can see, smell, touch, and feel.

I'm glad you stopped by today.  For Unity Stamp Co.'s Friends with Flair, I'm sharing this card with the stamp "Noelle".  This girl is amazing. You can color it however you want and I love how she looks.

I had already try with softer colors for a more sophisticated look, but for this one I paper pieced most of it and used darker colors.

I even chose to make her with black hair and darker skin.  I love the final result.  Do you?

I think she's fabulous.

Have a great Friday!

Unity Be Inspired Challenge

Hello dear friends. Here I am sharing a card with you.  I've been trying to make as many cards as possible for the Holiday season... so everytime I have a chance, I am making something.

I love the Unity Stamp Co.'s Be inspired challenge. They provide sketches and a color combination for inspiration.  My favorite to go with is the color combo.  I love the challenge of using the given colors... I think otherwise it is not so likely you would use the exact combination of colors by yourself.

This is the challenge and if you click the image, you can go to the details and perhaps participate too.

Here's my card:

So I went for a New Year's theme card.

Love the colors together, and love to ink the edges to provide unity to the whole project.  Love the imperfection of the final result.
Hope you like it too.

This is the message stamped inside:

Thanks for stopping by.

A very unusual Christmas card!

Christmas is a spectacular time of the year.  I love the fact we are celebrating God with this season and I really enjoy how people seem to be ... better.   I know, it is weird!  But I think... (probably I hope)... for people to change for a better way.  It is a great season to think about what you've done or become... and what, if any, you want or need to change.  And it is not only about others... it's also about myself.

But besides that... I love Christmas colors, glitter, textures... and all the magic of the decorations and materials related to the season.

I bought this beautiful box at Marshall's.  I love it.  I think it has great possibilities...  You can put a present inside so you don't have to wrap it, you can use it for storage, for decoration... and how about using it to showcase a mini album, or even for a special Christmas card?

Well.. I went with the last one... but this card is like a huge card made with different parts... so you can display in the wall if you want to.  Take a look...

You open the box and you see the first part of the "card"...  Grab the ribbon and pull it out...

It has several circles tied to each other with ribbon for a whole vertical piece you will love.

First circle is the angel wishing peace...

Then you have another circle with the reminder of the real Christmas meaning....

Then another peace and joy sentiment...

And finally a little card in an envelope.

In the little card you can just write the message you want, or also even include a gift card.  Size is perfect for that.

Here's a look to the whole 'card'.

I will have to think who the recipient of this will be... It must be someone special... Or maybe I will sell this to someone so I can buy presents...LOL!!!!

Hope you liked my project.  Tks for your comments.  Have I told you how much I enjoy reading them?  It's just great to know you stopped by, read my post, and actually took some time to write me something.  Tks!

Christmas Jar!

Happy Friday!

I bet that when you read the title you thought I was going to show you some Christmas mason jars I've been looking at in my scrapbooking room and have not embellished yet...  Oh well, you cannot know about that if I don't tell you... but yes... I can't find the time to making those... But no.  The post is about a card.

I love the result of this one.  I used a jar stamp from Unity Stamp Co.  Bird and sentiment are from Inkadinkado.

This jar is just fabulous to embellish the way you want, and fill it up with whatever you desire.

I made the card kind of shabby vintage look using brown and earthy colors, and this beautiful lace I found among my ribbons.

The background at left is part of a Prima Marketing packaging.  Love it.

Hope you love it too.  Show me with your comment left at the bottom.  Have a great weekend.

Taking advantage of the patterned papers..

Hello... middle of the week friend!  We are almost there (talking about my lovely Friday).

I love layering... Love to combine different elements with a meaning, and mixing collections from different brands...  and with memorabilia around the house...

But sometimes I just get what I need with the patterned papers... They are most of the time so rich in design and colors, that you don't need to add that much.

These two cards were made using patterned papers or elements, combined with stickers, stamps and rub-ons... with little layering.

This one  has patterned papers as base, then circles from the same papers and one from red card-stock with the sentiment (same card-stock from the left punched edge).  Then I cut a tree from another pattern and added stickers letters.

For this other card, I also used several patterned papers as base, added the stamped image and sentiment, and included a rub on.  Also used some glitter and bling... Finished!!!

I mainly love ephemera style, but sometimes I feel a little CAS ... how about you?

Santa Baby!

I was in need of making some Xmas cards yesterday...  At the end I didn't make that many, but at least had some relaxing fun time cutting papers and using some glue.

One of the cards is all about this gorgeous stamp from Unity Stamp Co.

It's this fabulous fashionista called Noelle.  She's beautiful, isn't she?  I colored her with watercolor pencils (except the skin, for which I used a Copic marker).  I also added some bling to some of her outfit elements, using glitter and Glossy Accents(tm).

Here's the finished card.  Inside it says:  "I've been a good girl."

Tks for stopping by...  and tks for your comments.

Anniversary Card

Friday... middle of the month... everyday is closer to Christmas... Yesss!

Hope you are having a good day.

I stopped by to share this card I made for a friend.  She will give it to her husband for their 4year wedding anniversary.

You know how I love to make personalized cards... so I really enjoyed making this one.

The letter in the upper right corner are their names initials.  She wanted wine and chef related elements since her husband is studying culinary arts, they love wine, and they started their relationship talking about food.

So I used a wine bottle and glass stamp from Unity Stamp Co. and combined it with a heart card stamp from Unity too.  Provided some color and glossy accents and added bakers twine and the number 4.

I also simulated a chef hat and added cork and love elements and stickers for color and texture.

The other two stamps I used ("Feliz Aniversario" and "Te Amo") are from disappeared brand Spanish Memories.

She loved the result... I hope her husband does too.

Tks for your visit and remember there's joy being imperfect.  Embrace it!

What's this all about?

It's all about Loveeeee...

Love stamping, love scrapbooking, love to share this hobby that makes me so happy...  Love to create.

And love that today is FRIDAY!!!! yeah!!!!

I'm hoping you have a great fantastic weekend.

Made this card the same day I made this other one I shared with you in my last post HERE... and using the same color inspiration from Unity Be Inspired Challenge.  Don't blame me... they are very different cards.

I combined the sentiment with part of a journaling card to create the whole message.

I used cork as background in the framed stamped image to provide some texture.  Love the effect of the cork (same as burlap... love it).

Have a great day... don't forget it is all about LOVE.  Leave a comment for a chance to win since I am going to link this to Friday's Friends with Flair at Unity.

May Peace be with you!

What about a Christmas card in the middle of the week?  Yeah! It's always a good time to get creative.

I've got some new stamps recently and am putting them at work.  I love this angel girl stamp from Unity Stamp Co.

I wanted to color her softly with some sort of out of the ordinary colors for an angel.  I got inspired from the Unity Be Inspired challenge... again!!!  I mixed watercolor pencils with copics... I bet the experts would say that shouldn't be done but you know how imperfect I love to be!!!

I used embossing folders to create the embossed hearts background in the cream/gold paper.  Also some Prima flowers and washi tape, cardstock, ink and of course... love!

May peace be with you friends.  Love your messages... yeah, those ones you are going to leave me now.  :)

Sunshine and Happiness!

It's rainy today... It's been all weekend.  But we've had fun.
Your day can be bright if you choose to feel it that way.

I loved when I read about today's Outlawz Challenge for  the CAS Sunday...  to use bright colors.
I received some stamps from Unity Stamp Co. last Friday and have not used them yet... so I went for this CAS happiness in a jar card...

Very simple use of washi tapes, patterned paper and stamps, put together for a bright and sunny card.

Hope your day is bright, beautiful and full of sunshine!

Tks for your comments... they make my day bright.

I'm on facebook!

Happy Saturday my friends... let's welcome November!

October was a great month, but now we start thinking of gratitude, blessings, pre-Christmas... and some turkey too.  Well, I know most people are already getting ready for Christmas, but I kind of like enjoying each Holiday or season one by one, without getting obsessed for the next one to come...

Just wanted to stop by and letting you know I am already on facebook.  You can find me as Scrapper Myra, or clicking HERE

The page will support this blog and you can find links to the posts from the blog, and other exclusive ones.  It's just another way to keep in touch and have fun being imperfect.  Hope to see you there.
