Círculos y Rectángulos LCSC70

Hola a todos.para el reto de abril de Latina Crafter diseñé una tarjeta usando rectángulos y círculos. 

Comencé con una base de tarjeta en cardstock blanco. La vestí con un papel de diseño dejando bordes alrededor que desvelan la base y simulan un marco. 

Para la base de la imagen usé un rectángulo blanco. La imagen fue estampada y coloreada con "watercolors" para crear un "look" suave y tipo  arte o cuadro de pintura con las imperfecciones que a mí personalmente me agradan. Líneas imperfectas... colores que se funden, un fondo de color que mantiene margen contra los colores de la imagen, etc. 

Este rectángulo fue enmarcado en otro rectángulo un poco más grande y de color rojo. 

El mensaje fue estampado en un círculo y combiné éste con otros círculos para la presentación gráfica del mismo.  Como toque final incluí varias lentejuelas. 

Me gustó mucho la dimensión que crean los círculos en la posición ubicada y el contraste de colores de la imagen con el resto de los elementos.

Glitter Ice Cream

This card is a CAS style one full of fun.  

To make a Clean and Simple project does not mean it needs to have less elements or details.  Most of the time a minimalist style is related to CAS. However the real meaning of CAS style is that it should be an easy to replicate project and with relatively less complex techniques. 

This card for me is a great example of that. I started with a card base to which I added a layer of embossed cardstock.   

I then cut three ascendant in sizes shapes, the smaller one of them in vellum which I also embossed. 

Separately I stamped the image and colored. I also used glitter to give life to he image. 

Put it all together as assembled and stamped a sentiment at the bottom. 

I love the texture and dimension of the different elements but this is a card you can easily replicate using other colors and other images.

Travel Notebooks

I love to travel but I don't travel as often as I would like. But whenever I have the chance I try to take the best advantage of my little travel.  

I love to take notes in an old fashion way. I mean... I use technology to assist me in so many ways including taking notes, but I also love to take notes in a small notebook. 

That's why I often take these little "Composition" notebooks and just cover them with patterned paper and embellishments. 

I love to personalize these little cuties and have them ready for my next trip. 

I also cover with paper the backcovers so the travel feeling is all around. 

For this one, I used patterned paper with little people and colored one of them along with his powerful sentiment I stamped in front. 

This second one was covered with patterned paper featuring little maps circles. I stamped the clock and the sentiment (half directly to paper and half in another paper for contrast)... Also used some color in spray and distressed the edges. 

This third and last one is my favorite. I used this gorgeous patterned paper featuring world map in grey and black and stamped the sentiment about the rainbow.  For the image as stamped I watercolored each rainbow line and love the contrast.

Easter Icons Card

Easter is coming soon.  Tomorrow is Palm Sunday and the Holy Week starts. Hope you have a great week. 

This card features several icons of new beginnings, nature and Easter. 

I stamped them individually and watercolored the edges for a blended look with their frames made of matching cardstock. 

Placed them all in a textured background for great dimension. 

I also used some washi tape and sequins help.

Pretty Little Friend

Made this card recently and just loved making it.  I used watercolor paint to create a scenery with the help of these beautiful stamps from Unity Stamp Co. 

This girl is embracing her reality... exposing her to nature and life. Love this image. 

I colored an imperfect sky for her... so real for me... so beautiful.   And did you see her shiny glittery hair????  I know. Cool huh?

The sentiments are from two different kits but I love to do this. I combine images and sentiments from different kits all the time.  Just love to create my own match to provoke the desired emotion!

I added some out of the box elements at left. I just call it that way because these gems and piece of patterned paper just provide some interest in the design but don't necessarily are related with the created scenery. LOL

Thank You Card

This is a CAS (clean and simple) card to say thank you. 

I stamped the sentiment using different ink colors and framed with doily and several patterned papers and sequins.  The doily was originally white and I spray painted it.  

For the flowers I watercolored cardstock, let dry and stamped the images.  I then cut and arranged in the corner for a beautiful and colorful detail. 

I watercolored also with green and hand draw the simulated leaves.
