Merry Kiss-Mas and a BLOG HOP

Happy Sunday my friends.

It's just 10 days until Christmas and I am honored to be part of a magnificent blog hop from Unity Stamp Co.  So fun and inspiring to be part of this community.   Keep reading to see how you can win great products from this company.

I am sharing this little CAS card made using this beautiful Pink Fresh studio patterned paper.  I took advantage of the printed flowers and design to combine with this cute stamp of the two kissing buddies under a mistletoe.

Very simple and clean design with a powerful message... Kiss Mas is the best after all, isn't it?  LOL!

With same stamps and an additional one I embellished a gift box.  I used acrylic paint to first cover the box.  Then stamped and applied watercolors in a  patterned paper placed on top and bordered the lid with a ribbon.

I love the whimsical playful look achieved while keeping the original patterned paper honey comb design still noticeable when you look closer.

There's so much I have in mind to create with these cuties.  Unity has great stamps I always love to use... you know it.   So that's why I am very happy to share this blog hop with these Unity friends too.  Go visit each of them and  leave a comment.  You will be participating for the opportunity to win a great prize.  I am #4 in the list (Scrapper Myra is my crafty name, or maybe you will see Edelmira in the list which is my human name).  Make sure you visit all of my friends.  Good luck.... and Merry Kiss-Mas!

Let's Celebrate - Elephant Card

Hey friends.
Happy Friday.
Hope you are doing well.

I recently made this card for my friend and wanted to share it with you.

I colored the image with watercolors and added some glossy accents.

I combined a brad with some patterned paper and the image for the festive card.  I also hand-wrote the name "Mine" trying to match the sentiment of the stamp.  Mine is a short name for "Mineluz" who was the recipient of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.  I invite you to come back next Sunday, Dec 15th, at 8am AST and see what I have for you.  It's a blog hop you will want to be part of... don't miss it next Sunday.

Have a good weekend.

Trick or Treat Witch

Happy Halloween.
Hope you have a creepy day.

Stopped by to share this Halloween card I recently made with love, and was published on Craft Stamper Magazine.  I'm so grateful my work can be displayed in so prestigious magazine and I've been able to collaborate for a while.

This beautiful witch was stamped and arranged in a fancy dark scenario just where she needs to be.  I colored her with watercolor, added glitter and even added some burlap to maker her broom more realistic.

She's here to demonstrate witches can be fun and to wish you a happy day.

Trick or Treat?

Something Cheerful for my day...

Hello my friends.
Hope you are all enjoying life and making things.
Today's my birthday and I am so grateful to be alive and for all the experiences I've had.
I have to thank God for love, family, friends, and work... well, I love my work even though sometimes it is too much pressure... I hope my heart can keep up LOL!
I'm also grateful for the inspiration, and the opportunity to create.
And let me just go a little further and be thankful for wine.  :)

I want to share this home decor I made.  I've made a similar one before (HERE).  I used the cardboard corner protectors of a frame.

I sprayed several painting colors and dried, and blended, and dried...

The colors created some glossy golden and irregular look I just love.

I stamped images and sentiments, and applied embossing powder, and heat embossed.  These provided texture and dimension... So cool.

I then used cutouts, sequins, and different embellishments to finish the decoration in both sides.

I allowed me to be imperfect in some edges playing with the stamps so they continued from one panel to another, and I like the rustic appearance that created.

It's not Christmas yet... but it is my birthday, so I thought I could share something cheerful.

Have a wonderful day!
:)

GROWING IN UNITY (GIU) DAY 5

Welcome to the last day of the GIU week. It's been so cool to post everyday and read your comments.
Thank you all for your support and love.

In the fifth day I am sharing a card which was also made for Craft Stamper magazine.  I love this card.  I stamped a wood image in several cardstocks of different colors and used embossing powder to stand out.  I then cut different strips of these papers to simulate wood panels.  This is the background you see in the card, to which I also added brads to simulate nails.

I separately stamped and fussy cut the basket with flowers and placed with dimensional adhesives.

And this is it... this is the final post.  I hope you continue visiting my blog and/or my other contact points in social media.  This is just for fun and hopefully we can continue sharing and inspiring one another.

Remember to make sure to have commented in all five posts this week.  We will choose 2 winners to get goodies from Unity Stamp Co.   If you also comment in Facebook or Instagram (@Scrapper Myra), you could be the third winner I will choose to give out some small goodies from my side.

Thank you Unity Stamp Co for this great opportunity.  And thank you everybody. :)  Don't forget to be imperfect.

GROWING IN UNITY (GIU) DAY 4

Thursday already?  Wow... Time goes fast.
This is my 4th day as a Growing in Unity Gal.  Hope you are enjoying my creations and that you continue following me afterwards. :)

As a wine lover I had to have another project related to wine... besides the one I shared yesterday.   This time is a card.  I used this beautiful Angie Girl that I wish it was me.  I think I used to look like her when thinner LOL!   Well, the thing we have in common is that she also loves wine.

I stamped the girl and colored, then cut and set aside.

In a card base I stamped the bottles and sentiment.  I then used patterned papers to imperfectly frame it all, leaving the room for the wine girl.

I placed her using dimensional adhesives and added some sequins as final touch (You should know by now I love sequins too).

I hope you like it.  Cheers to her!

Remember to leave a comment for a chance to win with Unity Stamp Co. You should leave comments every day this week in my 5 posts as a Growing in Unity gal.  Make sure you visit all 5 posts (this is number 4 and the final one will be posted tomorrow).  We'll choose two winners.  If you visit my social media pages (@Scrapper Myra) you could also be the third winner that I will choose for a personal token of appreciation with some small goodies from my side.

Be my friend... thank you for your love.

GROWING IN UNITY (GIU) DAY 3

It's the middle of the week already... my Growing in Unity week!  Thank you for stopping by and let me share my creations using Unity Stamp Co.
Remember to stop every day this week and leave a comment, because at the end of the week I will choose to winners to get goodies from Unity Stamp Co.  You can also leave comments in all my social media pages under @Scrapper Myra (Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest), and I will choose a third winner to get some small goodies as a thank you from my side.

Today's is Wine Wednesday and as some of you know I am a wine lover.. a real real wine lover who really thinks wine is heaven and appreciate the work it takes to make it.  Kudos to all winemakers and workers around the world :).
I also think wine is like scrapbooking... they are both to share and not to compete.

I made a mini mini album.  I drawed a shape of a bottle and made a stencil with chipboard, which I replicated in more chipboard and also papers to cover each page.

I added stamps and embellishments, as this sentiment in the cover which is a real truth...  You shall never run out of wine in your home... or don't call it home ... LOL!
Take a close up look to each page and notice how I also used painting, modeling paste, sequins, and more...  Here are the inside pages featuring wine moments photos and stamps.

All stamps are of course from Unity Stamp Co.  I used stamps from several kits.

I love this one with the large wine glass.  I added some white dots in the edge and love how it turned out.  And I also love the page at left, with all the painting and great sentiment.

I tied it all together from the bottle necks and a ring.

Hoping you liked my mini mini album as much as I do.

Keep visiting me this week...  Leave comments and thank you for your love.  Cheers!

GROWING IN UNITY (GIU) DAY 2

It's day 2 of my Growing in Unity week.  Welcome to my blog.

Here's a card I made to share with you.

I used scrap patterned paper I had from a very old collection as a colorful background.  Do you storage old paper too?

I stamped the mason jars in a transparency (acetate) and cut.  Then added bakers twine around the neck.  Lid section was also stamped in cardstock to place on top.

I framed the scene with other patterned paper and carefully positioned/glued the sequins so they appear to be inside the mason jars, which were then placed over the sequins using transparent glue dots in certain areas of the edge.

A sentiment was also added and several loose sequins as well.
Hope you like my card.

Don't forget to leave your comment and visit everyday, (make sure to visit yesterday's post if you haven't already).  You'll have the opportunity to win goodies from Unity Stamp Co.  Two winners will be chosen.  You can also visit me in Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest under @Scrappper Myra.  Leave me comments there too and I'll pick up a third winner and will send some goodies too... just a few surprise items as a token of appreciation for following me this week.

Thank you for stopping by.

GROWING IN UNITY (GIU) DAY 1

Hello my friends.
I am so happy to be part of Growing in Unity this week!   I am officially a Growing in Unity Gal!  This is very special for me because of many reasons but I'll just give you five...

I love to create,
I love stamping,
I love Unity Stamps,
I love to share creations,
and
being part of GIU "makes" me take the time to create...

It is true.. with the whole bunch of stuff at work, family and life in general, sometimes I have to put my hobby in second... third... or just last place.  But this week I will share 5 creations using Unity Stamp Co.  You just need to stop by every day from Monday thru Friday this week (Sept 23 to 27, 2019) and comment about the posts.   At the end of the week I will be choosing 2 winners that will receive products from Unity Stamp Co.  Isn't that cool?  We share Unity, we give everybody else some love, and we win.

I will start this week with a card I made for Craft Stamper Magazine.  It features a beautiful Unity Stamp with sentiment... which I love because I am a true believer that imperfection is perfect.

I used watercolors to create a background in a plain cardstock.  I then cut a section in the middle using a die, and stamped the sentiment.  With black cardstock I created the eclipse effect positioning the center piece with dimensional adhesives.  I separately stamped, colored and cut the lady and carefully placed also with dimensional adhesives, finishing with some enamel dots.

I hope you like it and you could get some inspiration.  Don't forget to leave your comment and visit everyday, not only because it would make me happy, but because you'll have the opportunity to win goodies.  You can also visit in Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest under @Scrappper Myra.  Leave me comments there too and I'll pick up a third winner and will send some goodies too... just a few surprise items as a token of appreciation for following me this week.

Have a great week!

Special Mini Album

 Hello people.

Just wanted to late post this special mini album I recently made but had not shared in the blog.  I guess blogs are disappearing and other social media platforms such as facebook and Instagram mainly, are taking over.  However, I like to post my projects in the blog because it is like my personal library. So, even though followers and commenters have moved or grown over other platforms, hope I can keep my blog.

This mini album is quite simple in terms of the style.  It is a CAS (Clean and Simple) style project.  I have clarified in the past that mistakenly some people think that CAS style is minimalist.  even though it can often be based on minimalism, what I've learned is that CAS style also refer to projects that can be easily replicate.  You can use several techniques and still be creating CAS.  In my case I sometimes just want to make something without stamps and painting or use of powders, etc...  so that for me is CAS.

So, the album is special because it is about my goddaughter.  And it is also special because it is CAS. I essentialy used patterned papers, stickers, cutouts, chipboard, sequins, enamel dots, rub-ons and tiny photos.

My goddaughter graduated from Junior and she looked stunning for her ceremony, and her prom.

But most importantly, she is a good student and a good girl.  She's healthy, she's smart, humble and beautiful.  What else can someone ask for?

She laughs with us, she share her feelings and she enjoys the simple things...

like baking... LOL!

We love her.  She's very special.

Hope you likely mini album. :)

TakeIt Make It Challenge (from Craft Stamper Magazine)

Hey cool people. Hope you are fine.

I am trying to come back to my hobby more actively after a year with many things happening... All good.  Just a lot of work and family duties... and I guess one gets used to changes after all.

I made two little tiny canvas for the current Take It Make It Challenge from Craft Stamper Magazine. (click to see more).  I've collaborated with this magazine and I used to participate a lot in this challenge just for fun ... so I said to myself... Let's come back. :)

I applied gesso and acrylic paint to the mini canvas.

In one of them I stamped the image first, then colored.  I then applied with mod podge little strips of patterned papers to frame the image.   I didn't worry about covering part of the image 'cause it was on purpose...

I stamped the image again to "take it out" of the frame and make it pop.

For the second tiny canvas, I stamped the image in a separate paper, colored, and along with other images from patterned paper, I fussy cut and placed in the canvas.

I also used some enamel accents to provide some dimension.

When dry, I applied mod podge as well and some glitter.

Here's the final project of the canvas duo.  I will of course share with my friends at the Craft Stamper magazine blog.  Wish me luck because there is an amazing prize :)

Hope you like my mini tiny little canvas by Scrapper Myra :)

Latest Projects and Happy Father's Day

Hello beautiful people...

Just stopping by to say hello and share the last several projects I've made and haven't posted in the blog.

This layout was about a wonderful afternoon we had after a long weekend working for a convention.  It was very relaxing knowing the event ended and that we didn't have to go to work the day after.  I'm not a Summer girl even though I live in the tropics, but I think I had forgotten how wonderful was to just chill out under the Sun in a pool or beach.  :)  The page was made in a very simple way using stickers, elements, papers and more from Simple Stories brand.

This card is for Father's Day and I used this cool stamp from Deep Red Stamps.  I have to admit I wasn't sure when I was going to use this image and still don't now if it was 100% suitable for the card, but I have to admit I enjoyed so much coloring the image...  It's a rainbow trout so I tried to emulate the colors and then used glossy accents and glitter to emphasize on them.  I then fussy cut the image to create a 3D image.  Love it.  The background was colored with watercolor painting.  Sentiment stamp is from Unity Stamp Co.

Finally, this layout was another quick and easy way to document a moment.  I used Pink Fresh products mostly and was kind of sarcastic with the page.  This was a Sunday that we were just so tired of so many happenings in our life and just stayed home to relax.  I was seated relaxed and took a photo of the flower but my husband is in the background as he didn't notice.  Suddenly I received a photo of myself... that my husband just took almost at the same time.  So the layout shows the Sunday Funday … but we were really tired and kind of bored LOL.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Father's Day to the fathers in your lives.

Welcome baby boy Armando...

Hey beautiful!

Hope you are all fine... I love that I made some time to play a little bit and made this card for a coworker who just became a grandma.  And when I say that I "made some time" is no joke... I've been trying to make time for the hobby lately 'cause I really need a balance.  Somehow the last year several issues has changed and the time has been split differently... so I will be back...LOL!

Anyways, made the colorful card using different patterned paper and cardstock scraps.  Also stamped the name and little friends and fussy cut to assemble my scenery.

When card is opened, it bends to stand out the name and it can be displayed with the sentiment inside that says:  precious, adorable baby boy...

Tried to add this boomerang so you can see the movement.  Hope it comes out when this post is published... Otherwise, you can visit me in Instagram (ScrapperMyra) and see how the card opens.

You can also follow me on Facebook (under Scrapper Myra as well).

It's simple in concept... but I know that the new grandma will love it... :)  The intention is that she uses it to give to his son and daughter in law.

Hope you like it too.  Thanks for stopping by.

:)
