Hello friends...

Stopping by to show you how finally my husband's St Valentine's card looked on top of the delicious cake I gave him.

I wanted to give him something different than classic gifts, so I ordered this delicious carrot cake from my friend Isis and placed the card on top. (Isis is also the one who made that delicious cake from another's friend bday... remember? Take a look HERE).

And for more love... here's more of the St.Valentine's work to share. This card has different layers of papers, and I used Unity Stamp Co. stamps, which I love.... :)

The little card aside is a gift card holder I made for my husband too... In the inside it said "Forever" as the continuation of the sentiment in the cover.

Celebrating Love today!!!

Happy St. Valentine's Day... It's one of those days that you know you should celebrate everyday, but then since there is a designated day, you join the club and buy gifts, and celebrate, and party, and get excuses to have a special dinner... and so on... you just have to do it and love it!

Hope you find reasons to celebrate friendship today... I also hope love is present every second of your life... and that you don't only feel loved, but also understand how big the potential you have to love and change the life of anybody around you. Love is so powerful... and to love is a decision... Go for it...

Here's the card I made for my husband. I managed to schedule the post to automatically appear later during the day so he receives the card before he sees it in the email. LOL! Hope I made it!

The card says "Tinto Love"... in an analogy of red wine with his love... Inside the card I explain it better but basically same way I feel a red wine can be complex, strong but sweet, and full of evolution when you really taste it, and also thinking that you just can't "drink" a wine just because, you have to make sure you are "tasting" it... so, basically some of this resembles our love... Kind of crazy and complicated but you know... I hope he will love this card.

The grapes, glass and cork are pre-made dimensional stickers from Recollections brand. Chipboard letters are from Basic Grey. Cardstock is from AC. Patterned paper is from DCWV. And the hearts were cut with Provo Craft products (cuttlebug die and machine), as well as the embossed circles in the background from same brand embossing folder. The word "love" is a brad from Fun Expressions.

Getting closer to St Valentine's Day!

Oh yes... I've been out for a while... I was in a business trip for a whole week... It's cool to know different places and change routine at work, but being away from home for more than a couple of days, without the loved ones... it's not that cool. And I've had some busy weeks lately... so here I am.

The day after I got back home my husband wanted to try this wine he's read so many good things about. It's called Enate and it is from the region of Somontano. We tasted a Cab-Merlot blend which was great. You can read this wine's description HERE.

We paired it with prosciutto and salami... mmmmm.

Since this was a small bottle just for the afternoon appetizer and as an excuse to hear all about my trip after a week without each other, my husband had reserved a special wine for dinner. This particularly we had tasted before and he has some bottles in storage. It is Chateau Clarke. It's a red bordeaux blend from France... So tasteful, strong, robust... delicious. It's the kind of wine with so much aging potential. You drink it and you know it's going to be better several years from now. I'm glad my husband still keeps some for the future.

And as a pre-St.Valentine's Day, let me share these cards I just made the other night in an intent to relax my stress out... hehehehe.... As you know, scrapbooking it's a hobby, and as such it's relaxing... so I needed to relax and made these...

"Last" of the LOVE projects

This is the "last" Love project from this year. Maybe if we think of it, that's wrong. It's not the last love project. It's probably the last I've made from a series related to St. Valentine's 2011... but it's not the last love project... because all my projects, no matter how simple or complicated, big or small, fast or no... are made with love... Make sure all you do in life is made with love. Whatever you do for living, whatever is that you have as a hobby, no matter what you do for someone else... make it with love. And you'll enjoy it more, and the results will be better.

I made this mini album for someone who wanted to send pictures of her sons to their sister, who is older and lives separately. It has to be simple and handy, and have room for her to place the pictures and finish playing a little bit with the project.

One of the pages had a message of love for the sister. This little metal plate from Portafolia, combined with the Scenic Route chipboard message, were perfect to communicate that.

Another page of the mini album had room for the pictures with a title to remind the sister about how good is life.

And this other one sent a brother hug... the plate is also from Portafolia. Look at the right page... there's a little envelope with tickets valid for different goodies.

What better goodies from brother to sister, than kiss, love and hug?

This other plage had flowers and hearts for the sister.

The nice "lace" shape in the background is a piece that I still had from a strip designed and cut by a friend (Gladys, my favorite Colombian girl), who gave it to me a while ago in an ocassion we were enjoying scrapbooking together. She probably doesn't even remember but I do.

The branch was stamped with an Autumn Leaves stamp, and then carefuly cut by the shape.

I cut chipboard and papers using the Cricut Expression machine. The heart shape was from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, using the End Caps feature.

Hope you liked my mini album... Now, let me share with you the not so mini dog biscuit we gave to our dog Malbec last St Valentine's Day.

He was so obedient, that he did not even touch it until we told him so... How cute!

Then he smelled and smelled and tried to get it but it was difficult becaus this giant biscuit was flat and heavy.

He could use a little help to grab it from the floor...

Mmmmmmmmmmm....

This lovable dog deserves this and much more... We love him so much.

I {HEART} you!!!

Tomorrow it's St. Valentine's Day. I personally believe we should celebrate love everyday, but I also respect there is this one day, some people celebrate it at a different level. I do believe we should not measure love according to the size of the gift you will receive/give this day, if any gift should be given except for love itself. But again, it's nice to share chocolates and special messages with people you care about, and if this day will make some people express love better or be able to show a good side... let's make it happen.



Remember the crop party I had the other day, where we had an ATC swap? Well, we also had Party Favors' swaps... and there was all kind of party favors. It was great to see the different styles and personalities reflected on the party favors... well they also reflected the tools each of us had... some people really did achieved a super professional look in their work... This year, is for me to get some new tools (but again, this is another future post...hehehehe).

You can note is a rectangular box that is between two hearts. The hearts are glued to the front and back side of the box, and then tied to each other through the top side.


The heart party favor can stand because the bottom side of the two hearts support the box and serve as base.

I embelished the heart with another heart, lace ribbon, buttons and flowers.

All the party favors together, looked really cool, and I am sure my friends enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed the ones made for me... with love.

Happy St Valentine's Day... I hope you can celebrate love everyday, and take time to be imperfect while doing it.

More Love...

And there is always more love to give... and more understanding... and more patience... time... and care... When you think you have given it all... or that you don't have anything else to do, to think about, to care about... to come up with, more to be... There is always more. You are never done my friend. There is always more... there's always a bright side... Look for it.

But that was just a thought... Today, there are more cards. Some are cards I made before but have never posted, and some are recently designed... but they are all about LOVE...

Maybe you find one you like, or get inspired, or simply think it's too simple, too colorful, or not your style... It's ok... This is the chance to be imperfect... Just look at them and leave a comment. I appreciate them all.

Wherever You Go, Go with All Your HEART

Hello with love...

I'm back from my short trip and had a wonderful time! Thank you all for your wishes and nice messages.

This month is going very fast. Don't you think? It's almost February... a good month-excuse to talk about love...

A friend at work resigned and moved to Miami. Some did a small gathering to say good bye and wish her best. I prepared a card to show my love and best wishes... it turned out to be a sweet card and also very suitable for the St. Valentine's Day coming. It's one of those cards you can give to a friend, to a relative, to a loved one...



The concept idea of the message I wanted to give, was inspired by the message in this Unity Stamp.... "wherever you go, go with all your heart". So I was very sure I wanted to use lots of hearts...

I think this message is very strong because sometimes we go to places we really want to go, sometimes we have to be there even though it's not our choice or our priority, and sometimes we just happen to be somewhere... and the important thing is to put your heart in everything you do, see, share, listen, say and touch... It makes a difference in attitude, it makes a difference in the results...

Anyway, for the card I hand cut a large heart and also punched little hearts that I later finished with Glossy Accents. I also used a stamp that features three flowers with hearts, also from Unity.

A nice border was also punched to add a white strip to stand out the message at the bottom.

My friend really liked the card and I am sure she loves it was made specially for her.

I'm working on some more "LOVE" cards I'll share with you soon. And I also will participate in a local group ATC and Party Favor SWAP... so I hopefully will be sharing those with you too...
