Beautiful Shades!

Hello Friends.
Here's a card I made to share in two challenges.

First one is the new Unity Tuesday Hop.  They used to have the Friday Friends with Flair and I participated a lot.  Now the special day is Tuesday and we get to link after the DT members, so we can all share.  There's prizes for one entry and for a commenter.  It's very fun!

I also want to share this card with current Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge blog.  Love the inspiration image called "Shades".

For the card I used a kraft base and put together some patterned paper strips using dimensional adhesives here and there... along with the stamped wood pattern, the glasses and the sentiment.  I also added some sprayed paint for some unique imperfection.  Finally three enamel dots as a cute embellishment.

Hope you like it.  Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win with Unity.

Happy Tuesday!

Challenge...again!

Hello friends. Enjoying Monday night?  Hope so.

I made this other card for the Addicted to Stamps Blog challenge which is about to end in less than one day.

I loved the inspiration photo from the challenge. Beautiful classic Christmas colors including red and gold.   So I was inspired to make another card.

I used red circles to create kind of a wreath in the background, along with gold sequins.

The Christmas angel is from Unity Stamp Co.so I will also be linking this up to Friday Friends with Flair next Friday, just for fun.

Hope you like my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

A Christmas Card!

Hello my friends. Hope you're having a great Sunday.
Here's a Christmas card I made for two challenges.
I love the final result of the background using watercolor pencils and water.

Christmas tree stamp was also heat embossed using powder. I love it.

Both stamps are from Unity Stamp Company and this post will be linked to Loves Rubberstamps and Addicted to Stamps.

Curtain Call Challenge and FWF

Well well... Here I am posting a card to share with you.  I really loved this image when  saw this challenge from Curtain Call, so tried to get some time to participate.

Here's my take:

I used design paper to make the banner and added some butlap and sequins. At the bottom added some corrugated paper and bakers twine.

One of the sections in the banner has a birthday sentiment.  This and the beautiful bike are stamps from Unity Stamp Co. So besides linking this to Curtain Call, will do the same with Friends with Flair at Unity, so make sure to leave a comment for a chance to win with Unity Stamp Co. They select a winner from the comments of all entries.

Tks for stopping by my friends!!!

A quick Halloween card...

Hello my friends.

It's been a while since I last posted something here. I've been busy, you know?  Lots of things going on...  A local magazine #Papeles y Más, to which Design Team I belong, had the first "Craft Flea Market" ever... and it was last Sunday.  It was very successful.  Scrapper Myra had a table there and we shared projects, products and it was so much fun... but a lot of planning and hard work are always behind those events... so that's why I was unable to post lately.

So I'll show you a quick card made with Halloween theme.

I used MME papers and assembled different pieces at different levels, also cutting 31's to stand out in the design.

By the way, do you know who you are going to be for Halloween???

Tks for stopping by ... tell me about your favorite costume.

I will share some other quick cards made lately, in the following days.

Take care.

Got some coins?

Hello dear friends.  Stopping by to show you this project. It is a "piggy" bank... only without the piggy.  LOL

This was published in last issue of "Papeles y Más" magazine.

It is really a baby's food jar which was recycled.  I had lots of fun painting it with acrylic paint as base, then when dried, I stamped some images and painted them. The idea was to make it look kind of vintage and make the impression these images were painted directly and not stamped first, so imperfection was required.

I stamped the images by inking the stamps and rolling the jar on it. It was sooo cool.

I replaced the top with a patterned paper scalloped circle with the hole in the center, to insert coins.
Also tied some cord around the neck when completely dried.

I also sprayed some pinky color as a final and natural touch/look.

Hope you liked my project. I will link this post to Unity Stamp Co's Friday Friendswith  Flair, so make sure to leave a comment for a chance to win with Unity.

And come back and take a look at what makes me happy post from yesterday here:  http://winecheesescrapbooking.blogspot.com/2014/09/this-is-my-happy.html?m=1

BTS Playing Cards

Hey friends.

Love the fact it is Friday. It sounds as words I've said before but I assure it is a genuine new and fresh feeling every time.

Today I am sharing a project published recently in the Papeles y Más magazine.
The assignment was to make educational games for Back to School season. I made these playing cards with vocals and numbers. Check them out.

In one side the letters and numbers and on the other side the images to associate.

I am linking this today to Friday Friends with Flair at Unity Stamp Co.  Leave a message/comment for a chance to win.  Besides, I looooveee to read your comments.

A Special Card

I read in the web today that there were some gay events around the World this week.   That reminded me of a personalized card I recently made for a friend. He gave it to a couple on their anniversary.  It needed to be a quick card because I really had a lot of projects that day and this was an extra.  He knows!  But I wanted it to be unique though.

I stamped the image from Unity Stamp Co in the center. I chose these feathers with script to communicate time and history. This couple celebrated 11 years together so there must be a lot to say, remember and cherish.
Then I made a mask to cover the image and painted the base with distress ink all over.  Love the achieved effect when I took out the mask.

The sentiment, heart and number images are from Inkadinkado.
And the two wood embellishments are ftom Latina Crafter.

I then distressed the edges and placed on a yellow cardstock card base.

I was told they loved the card.

Happy Anniversary!!!

A card for Danny...

Hello friends.

Sometimes a simple card can be such a great detail.   It can bring happiness, memories, make you feel you are not alone... And more.  They can be fun too.

A friend shared these news in facebook, about a little boy having a tumor, and wanting to receive lots of cards for his birthday coming up real soon.

He will be 6 in a few days and I thought it could be fun to send him a card.  His family is actually asking people to do so.

So I managed to be up earlier this morning to make him a card. I used different design papers, buttons, chipboard elements, bakers twine and stamps.

I sent the card by mail today and I am hoping to later find out the he received a lot of cards as expected.

Manly card

Hello dear friends.

Welcome to the middle of the week.

Let me share a card I made for Father's Day and had not shown you.

I used design paper and inked tags as background and frame for the stamped image and sentiment.

I love this image with the 4 men and ties. It is from Unity Stamp Co.

Tks for stopping by and for your comments.  Those make my day.

Spain Shadow Box

I have been making special projects lately and have some pending ones for other people... But from time to time I need to make something just for fun.  Remember that if you feel stressed then the hobby is not a hobby LOL.

So I took these photos from a trip to Spain, which I had cut in different sizes... I selected a few to summarize my trip and have representation from each main place visited... Barcelona, Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Madrid...

I used an "oldie" make and take kit I had from last year and assembled the photos in a chipboard and cardstock base, trimmed to the measure I needed.

Then I prepared a shadow box I had for them and placed chipboard support for the page.

I glued it in a way the center was fixed and the side edges were lifted.

Love the final result and the problem now is finding the right spot for it in the house. LOL.  The good thing is I can now remember my whole trip at a glance. What great memories!!!

Tks for visiting.  Love to read your comments.

Friends with Flair

Today is Friday and I am happy I can participate in Unity's FWF.

You know I love imperfection.  I can definitely appreciate and value a well colored image but I also love the imperfect look in some images, simulating different styles of painting and showing great work as well.

For this image I wanted a subtle coloring without perfect lines and just going from one color to another... So I just made up a technique... LOL.

I stamped the image in vellum to use as stencil. Measuring by eye and lifting the image, I applied color in cardstock in the corresponding areas.

I then slightly and taking seriously the imperfection, blended colors with water brush.

Finally, stamped the image on the colors. This way the image look sharp because the color was applied first as base.

I cut the image for a card.

Hope you like it. If so, don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win with Unity.

Have a great weekend.

Welcome April...and a challenge!

Hello friends... Hope you are enjoying life and its great imperfection!

I hear people focused on making jokes and trick others today because it is supposed to be a Fool's Day...  April1!

Well, I don't want to fool or trick anybody. Instead I want to share a facebook challenge. I choose it to be a color challenge and since this is totally random, I will use the colors I am wearing today. LOL

Make a layout, a card or any paper craft project using these colors for inspiration and share with me.

This is going to happen in the facebook fanpage so just visit me there (button access at right upper corner if you are in your computer or find me as "Scrapper Myra"), like the page and send me through the inbox a photo of your project so I can post and share in the wall for all the friends to enjoy.

If you are not in facebook, send me your photo and info by email: winecheeseandscrapbooking@gmail.com

This is completely for fun, but if I get at least 10 friends to participate, I will randomly choose one and share some goodies.

Let's give it the first 10 days of the month. Share your creation on or before April 10.  I will share your entries on the road and if 10 or more participate, I will select a winner and announce the following day.

Does it sound fun?  Let's do it!

CAS Sunday

It is CAS Sunday at The Outlawz Challenges again.

It is not easy to keep CAS without wanting to add layers, patterned papers and more embellishment. I made this card for the challenge of the "get well theme" so tried to use happy bright colors and elements that represent wellness, but keeping it CAS.

Like it?

I made a real mess in my table for this one.   Uffff!!!

Have a great Sunday my friends!

You can do anything!

Feliz viernes!!!!   Wooohoooo!!!  It is Friday!!!   I know you know... Just need to day it... LOL.

When you have self confident you think you can do anything. If you fail, you are realistic enough to understand and learn from it. If you succeed you get more confidence to continue doing more things.

This card reminds me that. Love the sentiment and the analogy with the shoes.  Hope you like it too.

I will have another class soon. Keep informed here and following me on facebook.

Hope you have a Friday full of confidence.

Leave a message for a chance to win with Unity Stamp Co.  Today is Friday Friends with Flair.
