For the Wine Lover Dad

Do you have a father in your family who's a wine lover?

This card is for him.
It's quite simple to replicate and fun to make.

Die cut your shapes... I cut two different tag sizes and the wine bottle and glass.

Combine colors and papers...  I used a card base in beige, then place the distressed blue patterned paper with a trip of a brown with stars one.

Place the shapes...   I placed the large tag with the stamped sentiment first, then the small one with the cord, which also has stamped image...   And finally the bottle with the wine glass at the bottom right corner.

Note I also used some ink in the edges and some cut shapes.  I hope you like my card.

Don't trash your scraps...

How's it going?

I quickly stopped to show you this simple Father's Day card using scraps.

Cut circles with those pieces of papers that are too small to keep but you can't do it because you are a hoarder as me... LOL...

Place them in rows in a card base and combine with stamped sentiments for a unique card.

I love the result with this one... unique color combination and elegant style.

Hope you like it too.

June Ready!

Happy June!

Already Fathers' month...  Are you ready with your presents and cards?

These are another two cards made for Father's Day... Hope you like them.

For the first one I used design paper to come through a circle cut of an embossed cardstock.

I inked the embossed shapes for a distressed look, but leaving it light in color so the patterned paper is the one providing color to stand out.

I stamped sentiments in another design paper and hand cut as banners, then placed with dimensional adhesives.

This second one card is very CAS and easy to replicate.  Just use a masculine patterned paper as base in the card.  Then die cut your shape and stamped the image and sentiment.  Color as you wish.  I used very subtle watercolors for a soft look.  Hope you like it too.

Bring it on June... We are ready.

Sequins for Father

I've been showing several Father's Day cards I recently made...

This is another one of that series... using embossing fodders and die cut shapes.

I placed black cardstock in the card base to be able to make the eclipse effect.  Embossed cardstock shows hearts of love.  Sentiment and image were stamped in the circle and applied with dimensional adhesives.

I also inked the edges of the circle for some distressed look

I was kind of thinking if sequins are appropriate for a Father card and I used these black and brown ones... and thought it was ok...  What do you think?

Wheels for Father

Happy Memorial Day...
I think of my father everyday but this is a special one, since he was a veteran to Korea war.  So it's a good moment to share other Father's Day cards...

I chose to share these two using the same embossing folder with these wheels and kind of mechanics pieces as background.

For the first one I place the embossed cardstock unto design paper.  Note that I distressed the mechanic wheels shapes with some ink.

Sentiment was stamped in patterned paper and then shaped imperfectly and framed with cardstock, with a detail of a circle shape to make it stand out.

This is how it looks:

For the other one, I used same embossing folder but I placed it to a side when adhered to the base cardstock.  This way, I had some room for some buttons.

Image and sentiment were stamped in a die cut circle and placed in the opposite side. A nice CAS card with great balance is the result.

Hope you like them both.  Father's Day coming soon. :)

Another woody Father's Day card

Hey there.  Tuesdays are tough... or so they say...  It's a day that it's too close to last weekend but it's not weekend... and still too far from next one... Some people still getting warm for the work week. LOL!

So, I'm showing another Father's Day card using the wood embossing design... like the one I showed yesterday.  In this case I die cut two circles before embossing the base, that was then glued to a black cardstock.
I stamped sentiments in the cut circles and I placed with dimensional adhesives using the eclipse look, with the black background.

As a final touch I glued a cord all around the rectangle and added some little buttons to the design.  Hope you like it.

Get ready for Father's Day and get /make your cards soon. :)

I Love You PAPA... card

Happy Monday.

Let's start the week making Father's Day cards...  I made a few during the weekend and will share with you within the next days.

This one is a little cute card using embossing folder, die cut shapes, and stamps.

I first embossed with wood design a piece of cardstock to place in the card base.

I then stamped the sentiments in a die cut circle, which was glued with dimensional adhesives and also framed with a larger circle shape... and this is the result.

This is my first of the Father's Day cards I recently made.  Hope you like it.  Are you getting ready with your cards?
