Do not get consumed by the future. Live in the present. Enjoy the moment. The little things. The Now.
That's what we always say or advice. But let's be honest. Sometimes we forget. Once in a while I catch myself worrying too much about the future. Too many things in my mind that make me get stuck in these thoughts sometimes. But I suddenly talk to myself and remind me that it is NOW that counts. Yes, we can plan, but not forgetting the present. I need to believe in myself more than anyone else to enjoy life in the present. I can do it!
Current Mixed Media Place moodboard reminded me of that. (You can see it at the end of this post). I made this layout as a reminder to myself that I believe in me... and that I believe I can enjoy life without worrying too much.
I sprayed some teal paint in a craft cardstock base which I had trimmed a little to make it smaller than original 12" x 12". I love this color that brings me peace, and hope. I added some blue borders for more contrast in the composition.
I also used brown stain to trace a path. The path of my thoughts. Not an easy path so that's why is dark. Added some wood people that represent that I am among lots of different people and that I should believe in me first.
I used modeling paste to trace the doily with a stencil. Love the girly delicate touch as center of my thoughts and the frame for my photo. The only pink element is near there to establish that.
Other elements such as vellum hearts, enamel dots, and sequins... embellish and represent my thoughts.
I stamped the dream catcher... self explanatory. And I added some glitter and glossy to it. It shines! Because a dream catcher is a huge part of enjoying the present and having positive thoughts. Never stop dreaming.
Hope you like my layout. Besides sharing it with The Mixed Media Place, I will also share with my friends at Unity Show & Tell Facebook page.
