Sequins for Father

I've been showing several Father's Day cards I recently made...

This is another one of that series... using embossing fodders and die cut shapes.

I placed black cardstock in the card base to be able to make the eclipse effect.  Embossed cardstock shows hearts of love.  Sentiment and image were stamped in the circle and applied with dimensional adhesives.

I also inked the edges of the circle for some distressed look

I was kind of thinking if sequins are appropriate for a Father card and I used these black and brown ones... and thought it was ok...  What do you think?

Graduation Cards

Are you attending to a graduation this year?  Maybe you are the one graduating!   This is like the topic these days, huh?

I made a couple of CAS graduation cards.  I combined stamps from two brands:  sentiment is from  Deep Red Stamps and image is from Unity Stamp Cos.

For this one I framed the sentiment and image and embellished with sequins.

I also added a little bit of glitter with glossy accents to the hats.

The second one, using same stamps and also with CAS (clean and simple) style, but the sentiment is the one having some glitters in the stars, and note that the hats were fussy cut and placed with dimensional adhesive.

Love the simplicity yet nice and well placed graduation cards I've just made.  Hope you like them too.  Happy Graduation!

Wheels for Father

Happy Memorial Day...
I think of my father everyday but this is a special one, since he was a veteran to Korea war.  So it's a good moment to share other Father's Day cards...

I chose to share these two using the same embossing folder with these wheels and kind of mechanics pieces as background.

For the first one I place the embossed cardstock unto design paper.  Note that I distressed the mechanic wheels shapes with some ink.

Sentiment was stamped in patterned paper and then shaped imperfectly and framed with cardstock, with a detail of a circle shape to make it stand out.

This is how it looks:

For the other one, I used same embossing folder but I placed it to a side when adhered to the base cardstock.  This way, I had some room for some buttons.

Image and sentiment were stamped in a die cut circle and placed in the opposite side. A nice CAS card with great balance is the result.

Hope you like them both.  Father's Day coming soon. :)

Dream Catcher ATC

This is the second ATC I made for the May swap with my Unity friends.
This one's called "Dream Catcher"

I inked unto a pink cardstock to create my own patterned paper and stamped the image and sentiment.

A peculiar decision I made was to make all 10 ATC's different from each other.  They are related and have same concept but to some I added washi tapes, or sequins, and applied different designs.

Hope you like them.

Wine Birthday Girl

A birthday card for a special wine lady...

Her birthday was yesterday and she's a special woman in the wine industry... plus a very nice and unique person.

I thought this stamp would go perfectly with her look.  She's classy, modern, and also kind of rebel in a good way... so these boots are just for her... LOL!

She loved the card. :) Mission accomplished.

Wine Birthday

My husband's birthday was yesterday...

This is a card I made for him.

I used die cuts for all shapes and the sentiment is from Latina Crafter.

Love the corrugated paper, with the cork, and all the beautiful colorful bottles...

Cheers!

Another woody Father's Day card

Hey there.  Tuesdays are tough... or so they say...  It's a day that it's too close to last weekend but it's not weekend... and still too far from next one... Some people still getting warm for the work week. LOL!

So, I'm showing another Father's Day card using the wood embossing design... like the one I showed yesterday.  In this case I die cut two circles before embossing the base, that was then glued to a black cardstock.
I stamped sentiments in the cut circles and I placed with dimensional adhesives using the eclipse look, with the black background.

As a final touch I glued a cord all around the rectangle and added some little buttons to the design.  Hope you like it.

Get ready for Father's Day and get /make your cards soon. :)

I Love You PAPA... card

Happy Monday.

Let's start the week making Father's Day cards...  I made a few during the weekend and will share with you within the next days.

This one is a little cute card using embossing folder, die cut shapes, and stamps.

I first embossed with wood design a piece of cardstock to place in the card base.

I then stamped the sentiments in a die cut circle, which was glued with dimensional adhesives and also framed with a larger circle shape... and this is the result.

This is my first of the Father's Day cards I recently made.  Hope you like it.  Are you getting ready with your cards?

She's a.... ATC

Hola my friends...

As you might know, I belong to an ATC Swap group.  We just started two months ago.  The group requires to share two different ATC's per month, to each of 9 other people, and you must use Unity Stamps.

This is one of the ATCs I made for May.  It is very "Clean and Simple" .

As background where the sentiment was stamped, I used a patterned/design paper cut slightly smaller than a white card-stock base.

I also added a jewel on top for an elegant touch.

Love the final result and I hope my friends are pleased with what they received.

Thanks for stopping by.

Imperfect Mom

Hello...

Mother's Day was just two days away but want to show you this card I made...  I call it imperfect mom because when I colored the image, I wasn't feeling well and I later realized it was really very rough...  But you know I like imperfection...

In real life I think imperfection gives you permission to make mistakes and move on... to laugh about your situations... and be able to enjoy every single aspect of life knowing it is not perfect, but it's awesome.

So it is also true that when I do watercoloring, one of the things I like most its the imperfect look.   So, sorry about the lines I didn't follow... but I love my card.

The image and sentiments are all from different Unity Stamp Co kits, but I combined to create a unique card, that I hope you like.

Have a great rest of the week! :)

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

Made these mini mixed media tags for all our moms and just stopped by to show them to you and wish you Happy Mother's Day!

I used spray paint as base on a shiny cardstock.  then applied some modeling paste with circles stencil and let dry.

Stamped sentiment from Unity Stamp Co stamp and then added different flowers to each tag:  paper, fabric, handmade or pre-made, with jewels, with leaves, with brads...

An eyelet for each one.... (I later added cords to all... after taking this pic).

Hope you like them.

Again... Happy Mother's Day to all women with that blessing...  own children or not...  all kinds of mothers...  Have a great day!

Feather for a Mother

Happy Saturday pre-Mother's Day.

Hope you are having a great weekend.  I'm a bit sick... This week has been very hard in terms of keeping up healthy and achieve all the duties at work and others...   But here I am...  Today will try to stay just taking care so tomorrow I can be where I want to be. :)

I made this card the other night...  and I like the final result considering I was coughing, sneezing and dealing with watery eyes when making it ... LOL!

I wanted the feather to have different colors while keeping harmony so I used blue, fuchsia and purple.

Both the sentiments, and the image are from different Unity Stamp Co. kits.  For the sentiment in the upper corner I stamped it in a circle patterned paper and framed using dimensional adhesives.

Sequins give a final touch.  Hope you like it... and hope the recipient likes it too...  A coworker got it for his stepmom.

Thank you for stopping by.

Under The Sea layout - PI Sketch

 Hello my crafty friends...

I made a layout using inspiration from Paper Issues friends.  It is titled Under The Sea because it's about an event we attended with that name.

Patterned paper as background features sea creatures and I love one of them has a different color standing out.

For the sketch, continue reading until the end and take a look.  I tried to follow it as close as possible even though I inverted the position of the title and embellishments...

And I also made a second page that goes at right of the main one.
I even included a photo of the tickets that allowed me to avoid any journaling because the info is all there... at least the basics as date, and so.

As promised, here's the sketch used for the layout.

Hope you like it and get inspiration. :)

Beautiful Day

Hello friends....

Hope you have a beautiful Sunday.

I shared this card in my social media pages last week and haven't shared here.

It's a CAS (Clean and Simple) style card using cut rings from circle dies, arranged with sequins.
Sentiment stamp is from Unity Stamp Co.

A simple way to make a unique and happy card.  Hope you like it.

Full of Blessings

Eveyday is full of blessings.  This is so true.  I sometimes forget... I guess I'm human.  Sometimes we just focus on the bad or negative... and I am very optimistic, but everybody has rainy days...

But this card make me happy.  I made it for a call and wasn't selected but I'm happy I can share it with you.

Love the bright colors and the coordination with sequins and spray paints.  The flowers were stamped with white ink on colored carsdstocks.

Hope this card reminds you how beautiful life is and you start counting your blessings... I will do too.

I will also share this card with my friends at Craft Stamper Magazine and its current challenge HERE.

By the way... almost forget... Happy National Scrapbooking Day.  Didn't have the chance to create today but will probably do tomorrow.  Have a great weekend.
